Fast-food advertisement highly affects the rate of child obesity and cause cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and depression
It has been said that the amount of fast-food advertisements that children are becoming obese and from several sources they have said that from the ages 2 to 5 the percentage of children overweight is 13% to 19%. Many studies show that the advertisements are giving the idea to children to want to eat. The institution of Medicine in 2006 showed compelling evidence of ads for food increased children obesity.
If the United Sates of America were to ban the fast-food advertisements, just on children television networks alone could reduce the number of obese children by 18%. Chou and colleagues use experiments on about 13,000 children on the 1979 child young adult national longitudinal survey. United States centers for dieses and prevention estimate 13-19% of adolescents from ages 6-11 are more than 17% then adolescents the ages of 12-19.
The causes of over-weight and obese children/adolescents cardiovascular dieses, diabetes, and depression. Obesity is right next to smoking on the most preventable death. The fast-food restaurant heightens the intake of calories per meal. The causes of the obesity are extraordinary. The worst part of it all is that its preventable. Its not just children that are making themselves obese it’s also got to be the guardians. Children can’t walk into their nearest McDonalds and order themselves food and pay.

The studies have shown and proven that the ban of this could help out children immensely and could prevent long life of depression and no confidence. Obesity is a major topic in United States, only because we have so much UN-healthy choices surrounding us. Especially in more populated areas of the United States. It’s hard to find a “healthy” restaurant and be satisfied with what you eat. Most people leave the place feeling guilty or UN-satisfied with their choices. It’s so much easier to order some French fries and a whopper then it is to cut up carrots and make a veggie burger. It’s been proven and needs to take action. The ban could help us all.
