In the article “Fast Food Killing Kids” by Daniel Weintraub he argues that parent are the ones to blame why kids are overweight. “Parents let their children eat unhealthy foods and sit in front of the television or computer for hours at a time.” Parents don’t take the responsibility to feed their children’s healthy food. The author’s purpose is to make parents understand that it’s their fault that kids are overweight and that they should feed them more healthy. I am against him, I believe that parents are not the blame on why their children are overweight.
I think Daniel Weintraub is mistaken, because he states that parents are to blame, but fast foods, restaurants, and T.V are the ones to blame. Fast foods have too much calories in their food with too much grease on them. Restaurants also have too much calories in their food also with way too much grease. If T.V shows could make you more active when you’re watching television and not just sit down and watch T.V., maybe children wouldn’t be overweight.
