Communism

Communism is an economic system. As an ideology, communism focuses on a classless society in which all members equally share the means and output of production. Communism says that the means of production and distribution should be in the control of the government. There is no concept of private property and wealth in communist society. Its main focus is on the classless society. Karl Marx is the father of communism. Marx explained the economic system of communism. Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels wrote The Communist Manifesto in 1848. This book was based on the basic ideas of communism. Karl Marx, Fredrich Engels, Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky had propounded an idea of communism

Socialism

Socialism means equality of income and nothing else. Socialism is a type of economic system in which the means of production and distribution should be in the hands of people. Socialism does not make the society classless as class differences are reduced but not finished. Its aim is to socialize the means of production distribution and exchange. Socialists believe that land and capital should belong to all but not to a few rich classes. Socialism would secure economic equality for all. Socialism is equalizer and leveler. Socialism eliminates antisocial form of competition, because competition is unfair which leads to wastefulness. In socialism all factors of production should be used by the people and for the people. Socialism is a social theory and it is based on the idea that governments should own and control a nation's resources rather than individuals. In socialism the state may not manage the enterprises because people will not take so much interest in the work as private enterprise. The production may be reduced to the level of poverty.

In socialism there is a chance of corruption and personal spite because socialism means authoritarianism and bureaucracy on a wider scale.

Conclusion

Both ideologies were created for the benefit of society. Socialism and Communism are equally focused on protecting the common man. Both principles are always focused on the centralized organization where the goods and services are produced, owned and controlled by people. A healthy communistic system results in a classless and cooperative society.

In socialism, all members of the economy share benefits and they are free to keep property.
