Cogs Battles in Streets
Strategy Guide

Introduction: Cogs battles are the main gameplay aspect of Toontown, and you’ll likely be spending a majority of your time stocking up on gags and defeating cogs in order to level up gags as well as complete ToonTasks. Because they have such a prominent role in the world of Toontown, you’ll need to make sure you know the basics if you want to make it out alive (and not negatively impact other players).

Here you’ll find a guide with everything you need to know about the humble Cog street battle.

Remember: This is not a guide regarding training low gags during invasions, it is meant as a guide for those trying to complete ToonTasks that require you to defeat cogs. While I will mention a few ways to have a successful cog battle while also getting experience points in the process, this is not a guide strictly about the points.

Pre-Battle Checklist:

 Make sure you have stocked up on gags that can deal a good amount of damage and will actually contribute to the battle. Don’t be walking into someone’s battle in Donald’s Dreamland and using a bike horn or a cupcake!
 Is your Laff-Meter healed up all the way? The rules in street battles are far more lenient when it comes to how much laff you have, as many toons don’t expect you to go and re-heal after every battle. Despite this, it’s still important to keep yourself out of the red zone. Don’t join someone’s battle with hardly any laff left; you’ll likely go sad as well as bother the other toons in battle!
 If you’re planning on taking on a much tougher cog than you can handle, make sure to bring back up. Depending on how tough the cog is, it’s always a good idea to bring one or two willing friends along to ensure a successful battle.
 Look...

...ant situations like in Cog Buildings or Boss Battles. This logic applies to the use of Level 7 gags in street battles as well.

When using an SOS card, tell other toons in the group what it is so they can base their attacks around it. For example, when using Toons Hit, remember that it only lasts the round you use it in, so it is extra important that everyone knows what SOS you’re using.

If you do not have any SOS cards, I recommend using a lot of Lure and keep using very powerful non-Level 7 gags, and keep hoping for the best.

Step 9.

If you have made it out alive, celebrate with the classic Happy Dance and watch your experience points go up. Make sure to congratulate your other teammates as well, it may convince them to help you out again in the future, if you leave a good impression. If you have enough laff and gags for another cog battle, go right ahead!
