Dr. David Atlee Throughout history scientist have conducted experiments and research to gain more knowledge as well as to come up with better understanding on how the universe and Earth works. The NASA has come up with missions to find new planets or to help with problems like global warming on Earth. CloudSat is one of those mission in which the goal is to study clouds in ways that haven’t been possible before.
Clouds have a big impact on our weather, according to Google Dictionary: “When warm air rises, it expands and cools. Cool air can't hold as much water vapor as warm air, so some of the vapor condenses onto tiny pieces of dust that are floating in the air and forms a tiny droplet around each dust particle.

Those commands are then sent to the satellite using large antennas on the ground. The satellite later receives the commands, executes them, and it sends the information to the same antennas back to the ground. Then the scientist in the computer can read the information. When CloudSat takes the images a cloud, it will take on average about 4 hours before the satellite sends the information to the large antennas on the ground. The people who run the antennas live in Albuquerque and the ones who process it live in Colorado. CloudSat employs a measurement approach that combines radar information radiance data obtained from the sensors of the A-Train. CloudSat mission was estimated to last about two years, however it has the resources and power to last for one more year, which will make it three years. The last updates on CloudSat were in 2014. What would happen in the satellite becomes broken? Most satellites are not able to be fixed once they have been placed on its orbit. Yet those who are low enough can be reached by the Space Shuttle that can fix so that it can continue its mission. If a satellite is brought down to Earth by the Space Shuttle can be relaunched all the others will eventually burn up in the Earths
They gather the sheep and then come back to wrap Teofilo up in a red blanket.
The Man to Send Rain Clouds tells a compelling tale that opens a window into a moment of the modern Pueblo tribe. The story opens with action immediately catching the reader’s attention. It brings the excitement of a cultural clash between the Pueblo tribe’s cultural beliefs and the more common belief of Christianity. The story is told in a very realistic manner taking no time to explain what is happening instead allowing the reader to realize why something is happening will not telling them.
Flying through hurricanes has allowed for hands on investigation like no other. We are able to make status of the storm followed with storm predictions. The most advanced technology for researchers and explorors today is flying through hurricanes, directly seeing
Amongst White Clouds is a documentary directed by Edward Burger, who made a life-changing journey to China in search of Buddhist hermits that still lived among the mountains in modern-day China. Burger first heard of these Chinese hermits in a book he found in a monastery while researching Indian Buddhism—Bill Porter's Road to Heaven. It was only after several months since arriving in Beijing, China that Burger was pointed towards China's Zhongnan Mountain range, where he eventually travelled to study under the supervision of a monk for several years. The documentary consists of various interviews with several of the hermits (including, notably, a nun and a monk nearing the end of his journey) surrounded by footage of their daily lives.
...nd located. The first major discovery made by TIROS 1 was the image of high degree organization of cloud patterns. This revelation increased the use of weather observation from orbiting satellites.
Climate, weather, and meteorology are 3 words that seem to be the same but in reality differ significantly. Two of these concepts pertain to the atmosphere but differ in what time and place they are studied in, and the last one is studying these concepts.
The movie Rain Man explores the developmental disability known as savant syndrome on autism spectrum. More Intro…
Rain Man is a critically acclaimed movie from 1988 that features a man who is an autistic savant and by all accounts Dustin Hoffman was the perfect “Raymond”. “Hoffman’s humane portrayal of a socially inept man prone to nervous tics and obsessive ruminations, punctuated by stunning feats of math and memory, challenged us to accommodate people with special needs and reconsider our notions of normalcy” (Gross, 2016, p. 1). Raymond is portrayed as an a-social person with limited social skills. “The predominant notion of autism is of an anti-social or a-social person (as illustrated in the media by the film Rain Man)…a person who is conspicuously at odds with social norms” (Macleod, Lewis, & Robertson, 2013, p. 42).
The order of the songs sang in a concert performance can mean a lot to the overall outcome of the performance. But, what matters the most is what songs are chosen to fit with what the audience wants to hear, also to what they are used to hearing so it doesn't sound off. The use of a concert is to evoke emotion and to make the audience connect with the music presented. The concert repertoire this year is a great example of how musical interest is shown since it varies from sound, the transitions make sense, and the voices complement the music. One of the pieces we sang for the concert this year was “The Storm Is Passing Over” by Charles Albert Tindley.
Tornado: A destructive vortex that has a funnel shape cloud beneath a large storm system. In my opinion tornadoes are pretty scary and can be devastating to people’s families and their home ’s. The first thing you should do when you hear a tornado is coming is go to the lowest level in your house thus, you will be safe. I have never been in a tornado before
Cloud storage basic terms, is a way to save information to the web that can managed data storage. Cloud computing services are online services, which store this information to a safe and secure location online. It’s offered a quicker, easier and safer backup than conventional methods of file storage such as bookshelves or cardboard files.
The protagonists within Tim Winton’s modern Australian classic, Cloudstreet, are susceptible to prolonging pain, however, they do not find satisfaction in this torment. The novel’s circular narrative focusses on the struggle of two broken families to accept their distress and return to love and reconciliation, despite the misery compounded by their flaws. No pleasure is found in this suffering the protagonists endure, they augment their period of sorrow because they indulge in negative emotions such as guilt and resentment that in turn condemn them to a state of misery. Other characters prefer to escape addressing their torment rather than accepting its presence in their lives, while others . Winton’s novel, Cloudstreet, is constructed of characters who lengthen their period of distress, despite the lack of enjoyment they gain in this state.
In cloud computing, the word cloud is used as a metaphor for “the internet”. So the cloud computing means “a type of internet-based computing”, where different services such as servers, storage and applications are delivered to an organization’s computers and devices through the internet.
A tornado is defined as a violently rotating column extending from a thunderstorm to the ground. The most violent tornadoes are capable of tremendous destruction with wind speeds of two hundred and fifty miles per hour or more. Damage paths can be more than one mile wide and fifty miles long. In an average year, eight hundred tornadoes are reported nationwide, resulting in eighty deaths and over one thousand five hundred injuries. In the body of my essay, I will tell you about types of tornadoes, where tornadoes come from, where and when tornadoes occur, the damage they inflict, variations of tornadoes, and how to detect tornadoes.
A solar storm refers to space weather involving solar activities like solar flares and coronal mass ejection. Although most solar storms may only have minor effect on the Earth, a particularly strong one like the 1859 Carrington Event is likely to cause damage of spacecraft and satellites, as well as radio and electricity blackout of large regions on the Earth. In the age that people’s lives are greatly dependent on electronic and telecommunication technologies, our modern civilization is under a constant threat posed by a hazardous solar storm. This paper will examine a few past solar storm observations and attempt to analyze the effects of the major components of solar storms on human technologies and people’s lives.
