There’s a myth that time is money. In fact, time is more precious than money. It’s a nonrenewable resource. Once you’ve spent it, and if you’ve spent it badly, it’s gone forever, this famous quote by Neil Fiore has drastically changed my life. I have decided to use time efficiently thus not wasting this priceless resource. Comparably reducing time duration in doing projects in industries is one of the main ambition of Fredrick Winslow Taylor popularly known as Father of Industrial engineering and Charles W. Babbage who contributed greatly to industrial engineering. Greatly inspired and motivated by the works of these mechanical engineers, I have decided to pursue active research in Industrial Engineering as a career objective.
It was in my sixth semester of my under graduate university curriculum I took a course titled Operations research which took me close to the basic concepts of Industrial engineering. The topics learned in this course and its usage in day to day life made me to show further interest in the subject. For example before buying a new vehicle, you would evaluate all the possible options available to reach office, then you would select the fast and cost effective option thus reducing your expenses by doing this you are unknowingly using the concept of “Optimization” which is a basic concept of Industrial engineering. This liveliness present in the subject truly enthralled me. However it was in my fourth semester the course Industrial engineering management taught how an industry can be managed effectively. Deeply interested in the topics I also selected project management as an elective subject; this even made me to go deeper into the basic concepts of Industrial Engineering like Gantt charts, critical path m...

.It is my firm belief that in order to achieve greater things in life, a bachelor’s degree is not sufficient. Based on my abilities and interests I feel that pursuing a graduate program at your prestigious university would benefit me greatly in the pursuit of my dreams and goals. In this rapidly progressing world, higher knowledge, and wider exposure to practical experience and involvement in more extensive research are essential to the development of a well-rounded engineer. Hoping with a positive attitude, I ardently look forward to be a part of your esteemed institution.
The Industrial Revolution was an era between 1780 and 1850 where new inventions and machinery flourished, replacing human labor with machines in the production and manufacturing of goods. The Cottage Industry helped give rise to the Industrial Revolution with its inventions such as the flying shuttle, spinning jenny, water frame, and spinning mule, all of which were mainly operated by women. This opened new opportunities for women in the working industry but this also introduced working class injustices, gender exploitation, and standard-of-living issues. Women 's experiences in factories reflected the profound social changes of the revolution and continuities with traditional working-class ways of life through their poor working conditions, demoralization, and little reward for their hard work.
The Industrial Revolution was a fundamental change in the production of goods that altered the life of the working class. Similar to most other historical turning points, it had skeptics, or people that doubted the change, and fanatics, people who saw the value in the change being made. The Industrial Revolution and the period that followed shortly after highlight these varying opinions, as people were more conflicted than ever about the costs of industrialization. While Industrialization started in England as an attempt to capitalize on the good fortune they had struck, it quickly developed into a widespread phenomenon that made the product of goods more exact and controlled by higher level people. Many industries, such as the cotton and textile

Anybody and everybody can become an industrial machinery mechanic; especially, those who are passionate about getting their hands plastered in motor oil, grease, and other mechanical lubricants. These people will more than likely be ecstatic about getting into industrial machinery mechanics. They need to be able to put in one hundred ten percent of their effort into becoming an industrial machinery mechanic. An industrial machinery mechanic’s overall objective on the job is to stop a mechanical error before it happens. An industrial machinery mechanics are often caught repairing, maintaining, and fabricating machinery. They will be required to have certain education and training as well as some on the job training or complete an apprenticeship program. They will receive many benefits for working in this particular field.

My time at UTEP has given me many technical skills in regards to the major I’m pursuing. I have not only learned the concepts to become a successful engineer, but also the effort and dedication that is required. All my professors have shown me the passion that any good engineer possesses and the many options that I have ahead of me. I have been taught
Engineering and science are the major evolving fields in the world. This text concentrates on comparing and contrasting the two terms in detail.
Fredrick W. Taylor’s body of work on time studies to improve manufacturing efficiency was so advanced, he is considered to be the father of time studies. Although he did not invent time studies, he promoted the idea of scientific management for the manufacturing industry in the early 1900s. The use of time studies can be traced back to 1760 when Jean Rodolphe Perronet, a French engineer, conducted an extensive time study on the manufacturing of No. 6 common pins. Perronet establish the standard of making 494 pins per hour (2.0243 hours/ 1000 pins). Later in 1820, Charles W. Babbage, an English economist, performed a time study on the manufacturing of No. 11 common pins. Babbage concluded that 5,546 pins should be made in 7.6892 hours (1.386 hours/ 1000 pins). Babbage published his book “On the Economy of Machinery and Manufactures” in 1832 (Niebel, Freivalds 2014).
Industrial Engineering Industrial Engineering is concerned with the design, improvement, and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, equipment, information, and energy in the most efficient manner possible. Efficiency is one of an engineers major concerns. Being able to complete the job, solve the problem, and put the solution in process are all very important, but making the process efficient allows less waste and more profit. It draws upon specialized knowledge and skill in the mathematical, physical, and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems. Their jobs are also concerned with performance, reliability, cost efficiency, quality control, plant design, and management of human resources.
We are accessible only to a limited quantity of resources around us. Considering the current usage and availability of resources, it has become very important for us to use them as wisely as possible. As an industrial engineer my aim is to find ways to eliminate wastefulness and enhance the efficiency of the process or service being provided. I would like to enhance my knowledge and in order to achieve this, I wish to pursue my Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering at the Arizona State University. I aspire to do my PhD after my Masters to fulfil my long term career goal of carrying out postdoctoral industrial research while becoming a tenured professor.
Engineers like challenges and I am one of them and I have a lot to learn, I am aware of the standards expected out of students at the University of Ottawa, knowing that I have been dedicated towards my ventures in the past; I believe I have the aptitude, resilience and resolution to meet the same. Thanks for your consideration I look forward for your positive reply.
Electrical engineering, I believe, is the only field where one’s work becomes the most instrumental part of one’s mundane activity and life, and the output produced stays forever to credit. My perception is that, this field requires a lot of patience, perseverance and management skills in order to be successful. The connection that electrical engineering offered between me and this world is the fact that you can become a person who can impact so many lives. This made me pursue Electrical Engineering. After four years of undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering, I feel completely satisfied with my decision to choose this branch of engineering as my career option as it has revealed the most pragmatic and down-to-earth approach to tackling
Electrical engineering industry is primarily concerned with the technology of electricity, specifically in the design and application of devices and circuitry for generation of electricity. The other major activities of electrical engineering industry comprises of controlling power generated equipments and communication devices of telephone, radio and satellite systems
I want you to think back to what might be the greatest invention ever. Dependant upon how well you know your history you could possibly say the wheel, the car, the airplane, the television, the autonomous robot. All of these are great ideas that have different eras in history, but they all have something in common, these creations were all invented by engineers. Do not get the misconception that engineers have been around since the dawn of time but the concept of engineering itself has. Those great revolutionaries all had ideas and solved problems which are still qualities that engineers of this day and age use. Webster defines engineering as, “the work of designing and creating large structures or new products or systems by using scientific methods.” Those people created new products so they would today be considered engineers, but they are slightly different. What makes them different is the field that they would be considered a part of. The broadest one of the oldest forms is mechanical engineering, which is my future profession.
I, hereby conclude that I am very passionate to pursue my Masters in Mechanical Engineering in your esteemed university and I hope my credentials will help me to fulfil my passion through your reputed university.
