Absolute and relative poverty
Poverty is the lack of money to the point that the individual cannot afford their basic needs. There are two types of poverty, absolute and relative. Absolute poverty is the lack of basic needs for a long period of time that puts your life in danger, which opposes with relative poverty, that covers the vital and biological needs like food, clean water, and basic housing (poverties.org, 2011) .

People believe that poverty cannot be eradicated due to the following factors. Firstly, transnational Companies have all the power and they are choosing to keep people poor so they can produce their products cheaply thence they can make larger profit by paying lower prices on raw materials and lower wages for the factories workers. Secondly, education is one of the most powerful instruments for eradicating poverty, but in the world there still has a large number of people who are illiterate, which means they cannot read and write such as Afghanistan (worldbank.org, 2013) . In Afghanistan, there is only 31 percent literacy rate of the adult population, which is extremely low (unesco.org) . If people suffer from lack of education, it may cause them to get incorrect knowledge from others just by telling them. For example, in Africa, Nestle tells mothers that breast milk is not the best for children and that milk powder is better, in order to make them buy milk powder, but milk powder requires clear water therefore they have to keep buying their products because in Africa there is lack of clean water. Thirdly, as the population increases the poverty will increase too (debate.rog) . High birth rate required more natural resources and the country would become more and more crowded. Also high birth rate usually exists in less economically developed counties because they don't have extra money for the contraception and they want their kids to work for the family but even if they have more kids, the kids might not be able to grow up since they have poor medical conditions and infrastructure (studymode.com, 2012)
