When we sit in a science class, most of the time we are bored as bored can get. We really do not get a chance to explore on our own to find out what’s really out there. Teachers sometimes are not able to get in depth outside the textbook because they are required to teach that all in the year. That is why a lot of kids do not really get into science because they are stuck to the book all the time. Some kids love science and do not really care about the work they have to do. Environmental science, is more than the book really says.
No one really quite understands what it takes to be an Environmental Scientist. Environmental Science is a broad type of science. It may involve nature, animals, or anything in between. Some subsections of it can consist of pollution management, natural resources, or wildlife management. Also, there are types of programs for protecting the environment such as scientific, behavioral, economic, and political.(apu.apus.edu) Most environmental scientist go into the scientific field of it, but there are some that go in for other reasons. The second most popular is behavioral.

This mainly focuses on one particular animal and the behavior in their natural habitat. When someone wants to become an Environmental Scientist they first have to have a bachelor`s degree in any natural science, this degree will get you an entry in the field. You can have any type of natural science such as: biology, chemistry, or geosciences. If you want to advance in this particular job you might want to work on getting a master`s degree in any natural science and you could also get a doctoral degree if you want to do college teaching or some research positions require this type of degree. Some people but not most that wo...

...nditions promoting life on Earth. In 1878, Alfred Russel Wallace independently theorized about natural selection and publishes Tropical Nature and Other Essays in which he warned about the dangers of deforestation and soil erosion. In 1936, Arthur G. Tansley coins the term ecosystem. In 1957, Roger Revelle and Charles Keeling discovered carbon dioxide as part of the International Geophysical Year. In 1974, F. Sherwood Rowland and Mario J. Molina discovered atmospheric ozone depleting chemicals (radford.edu).

As one develops knowledge of this career it is essential to have an understanding for what it is regarding. Zoology is a branch of biology that concerns the study of animal life (Zoology). Animals, in this frame of reference, are any living organisms that are not fungi, plants, viruses or bacteria. Animals include creatures like marine sponges, jellyfish, frogs, worms, rock lobsters, snails, insects, birds, fishes and mammals (Types of Zoologists Z). Zoology has evolved into a different study as it now consists of psychology and ecology; where as it use to only concentrate on the structures and function of the cell (Zoology). Zoology applying ideas and techniques to life processes has not only grouped together different fields, but also created connections to other science fields; it allows animal’s relationships with each other and its environment to be explained more easily (Hanson). Zoology embodies organizations that carry groups of individuals that are educated in an equivalent field. The Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) is the most substantial membership group for zoology majors. The AZA has over 6,000 members worldwide at professional levels. Also, The Zoological Association of America welcomes all levels of zoology m...

Environmental Studies is the academic field, which systematically studies human interaction with the environment in which we live in. It is a broad field of study that includes the natural environment, built environment, and the sets of relationships between them. Environmental studies takes into account many different factors that help provide an enjoyable, fruitful way of life, such as national policies, politics, laws, economics, sociology and other social aspects, planning, pollution control, natural resources, and the interactions of human beings and nature.
Where North Macomb Medical Associates is located, it is not very diverse. There is currently only one medical office located within the vicinity of Richmond so many of the residents seek treatment from them. Richmond is a small community that resembles a city in the middle of the country. When looking at marketing, it is important to make sure that it is appropriate for the demographics of the area. It is also important to research the area prior to opening up a medical office. If the demographics of the area show that the area is primarily Spanish speaking, it would be pertinent to make sure that there are several bilingual speaking physicians and staff.
Humans have always been captivated and intrigued by animals from the very beginning of history. Those prehistoric humans who studied basic animal behavior may be considered some of the first zoologists. Zoology, a branch of biology that studies animals, is vital to the understanding of natures and preserving of biodiversity. To animal lovers, zoology is one of the most ideal careers. From teaching, to researching, to zoo keeping, there are many different options for those who intend to start a career in zoology. Although zoology is time-consuming and unpredictable, it is a rewarding and fascinating career.
Marine biology is the study of marine life in salt water ecosystems. It can also be described as observing how marine species interact with one another. Certain species of underwater plants can affect the environment in which they are put in. Some branches of marine biology study the affects of said plants. There are many branches of marine biology. Many people tend to study dolphins or sharks, since those are the most known marine animal. Only 30% of the world's oceans have been explored. This means that by being a marine biologists, I can have the chance to explore parts of the world that have never been seen before. Not many people are willing to go through the dark places of the oceans. This is what I want to do, because I would be the first one to see what is hidden behind the veil of darkness.
When the average person thinks about zoology, they usually think about a zoo and or animals. As said in General Zoology, many questions come with this topic. “What is life? In what ways are the various kinds of animals alike or unlike in structure, internal processes, and modes of life? How do animals carry on their activities? How are the many kinds related to one another? In what ways does man resemble and differ from other living things? The answers to many of these questions are provided by the science of zoology.” (General Zoology, page 3). While zoology does involve animals, the general study of zoology is far more complicated then one would imagine. Zoology is a branch of biology that studies the classification, origins, habitats and behaviors of organisms. Someone who studies zoology is a zoologist, and has the tasks of learning about new species and their habitats. It is a job that if mastered, can be one of the most fulfilling and knowledgeable careers someone can obtain.
Saving marine ecosystems is an important environmental issue that biologists and scientists are studying today. This issue is frequently debated and addressed by several government and nonprofit organizations due to its important impact on human health and well-being. Global warming has complicated the issue because it is causing the oceans to warm up and carbon to be absorbed by the oceans. Reckless and indiscriminate human activity has led to the pollution of the oceans and a decline in the populations of marine animals worldwide. As the apex predator, we need to make a change by conserving marine habitats and ecosystems throughout the world. The Marine Conservation Institute is already trying to create environmentally protected areas by safeguarding marine ecosystems on a global scale. Being eco friendly can also save you money. Doing so will limit further damage to the environment and protect marine ecosystems.

Environmental management is a process in which a certain company, individual, or partnership do to help protect the cleanliness of the environment. Basically it involves the management of the environment, but the deeper meaning is the step by step process that one does to impact the environment in a good way. It is also implementing behaviors that will benefit the environment.
Efforts to improve the standard of living for humans--through the control of nature and the development of new products--have also resulted in the pollution, or contamination, of the environment. Much of the world's air, water, and land is now partially poisoned by chemical wastes. Some places have become uninhabitable. This pollution exposes people all around the globe to new risks from disease. Many species of plants and animals have become endangered or are now extinct. As a result of these developments, governments have passed laws to limit or reverse the threat of environmental pollution.
When integrating Nature of Science into curriculum, assumptions are made about students and instructors. These assumptions include that students are all at the same level in terms of science understanding and concepts as the rest of their classmates, and also assumes that the students learn at the same rates (NGSS: Appendix A). These assumptions are detrimental to science education when focus needs to be on the content being taught rather than teaching background of science as a standalone. Teaching NOS explicitly becomes increasingly difficult when students aren’t given access to proper science learning environments. As mentioned in the High Hopes – Few Opportunities reading, it is stated that, “California students do no typically experience high-quality science learning opportunities[.]” (Dorph et al., 2011). When students don’t have a basis for scientific concepts, it becomes increasingly difficult to teach NOS. America’s Lab Report further expands on the idea that this style of learning is not likely achievable, as “[N]o single […] experience is likely to achieve all of these learning goals.” (Schweingruber et al., 2005) where learning goals is referencing the goals of laboratory experiences that include understanding Nature of Science. Again, when a lack of understanding for general science exists, its arguably much more difficult to teach
What is aquatic biology? Aquatic biology is very similar to marine biology in that you study ecology, behavior of plants and animals, and microbes; however, instead of the main focus being saltwater, aquatic biologists study things like rivers, wetlands, ponds, and other freshwater resources (princetonreview.com). Being an aquatic biologist comes with many crazy experiences, some in college, others with diving, and some with preserving the environment.
Environmental studies is a paramount field to focus on for both the present day and the future. This field of studies pertains to all people, animals, plants, and biomes around the world. Environmental Studying is important because it is only by understands the environmental processes that we can begin to take the steps necessary to correct the on-going damage that is occurring, and ultimately protect and sustain life on the planet. Unless steps are taken to try and abate and control environmental problems, which are often human-generated or exacerbated, then the environmental that we live in will continue to deteriorate. There is no life without protecting the source that sustains us. Even though I have only been alive for seventeen years, it has been long enough to see many negative environmental changes. Since I was born that population has grown by over one billion people causing deforestation, loss of wildlife, increased pollution to both air and water, and even superbugs. However, I have also been able to see extremely positive results such as an increase in the research and implementation of renewable resources. The reason I am so motivated to study environmental science is because I know that change is possible. Those who study environmental science and study have the ability to help reduce, and possible reserve, some of the damage that has been done to the environment while at the same time, helping to advance the well-being of our fellow humans.
