Aquatic Biology
What is aquatic biology? Aquatic biology is very similar to marine biology in that you study ecology, behavior of plants and animals, and microbes; however, instead of the main focus being saltwater, aquatic biologists study things like rivers, wetlands, ponds, and other freshwater resources (princetonreview.com). Being an aquatic biologist comes with many crazy experiences, some in college, others with diving, and some with preserving the environment.
Growing up and being an aquatic biologist isn't something you would ever regret. Aquatic biology is so complex and there are so many things to know and do with it. The environments in which aquatic biologist study are probably some of the most diverse and interesting environments ever. They also get to help save the environment! So make a difference in the world today and become an aquatic biologist.
To have a good career you would have to have gone to college somewhat and know what you’re talking about. Ashley Simmons says “Classes in college are really just core classes like English, history, biology, etc. Although for aquatic biology you need to take biology because without it, it would be pointless. Some classes are essential like math, science, engineering, and physics” (Simmons). The requirements in studying to be an aquatic biologist are very simple. There are not too many, but obviously you do need some requirements because you need experience and you have to have standards. Diving is one of these requirements. “In studying to be an aquatic biologist you have to actually get in the water so lots of dives are required. Most are freshwater, but some may be saltwater just for overall experience.” (Simmons)...

So, the Obama Administration will ensure that our water is no longer at risk of pollution for near one third of all Americans (www.cleanwateraction.org). Recycling is also a very big part of saving the Earth. When we recycle, we can save so many animals such as turtles. Plastic in the ocean can kill turtles, but they are not the only ones. Water pollution puts all animals at risk. The dolphins, whales, sharks, turtles, and other fish are in extreme danger because of water pollution. We need to recycle if we want to stop this. Recycling helps extend life and usefulness of something that has already served its initial purpose by producing something that is usable. Recycling has a lot of benefits and importance not only to us humans, but especially to our planet. Almost everything can be recycled, so let’s start now.
