Pathology of endocrine system
Don’t take our word for it - see why 10 million students trust us with their essay needs.
Good morning Maha, I will talk about the type of gland in our body called endocrine glands .that secrete glandular hormones like insulin. And I would like to explain to you about the most important endocrine diseases (diabetes) and how to prevent it , I hope to give you enough information about them.
Endocrine glands that secrete hormonal substances, and send them directly to blood, instead of the secretion in the channels, they are a group of cells that produce certain hormones have important functions in the body. Endocrine controls also control the body's functions, away from their positions, The most important examples of endocrine: )Pituitary gland), a gland of small size, is located at the bottom of the brain, which is very important;

Melatonin is secreted, a hormone that helps regulate the work of the human body and helps sleep. And take the form of small pine pill.
Now let me talk about the most important endocrine diseases
One of the most prominent endocrine diseases is diabetes:
Diabetes is one of the most important areas studied by endocrinology as diabetes is one of the most common diseases in the world and it affects the lives of millions of people. When the beta cells in the pancreatic gland become damaged, the amount of insulin gradually is reduced and this process continues for many years.
If this condition is associated with insulin resistance, the combination of a small amount of insulin and a low level of efficacy leads to a deviation from the proper level of glucose (sugar) in the blood, in which case the person is defined as having diabetes, It is known that the proper level of sugar in the blood after the fasting of eight hours should be less than 108 mg / dl, while the border level is 126 mg / dl. If a person's blood glucose level is 126 mg / dl and above, in two or more tests, he or she is diagnosed with diabetes. Symptoms of diabetes:
.Nervousness and high tension.
. Increase
Glucose is a sugar that plays a big part in a human’s health and well-being. This sugar is a major source of energy for the body’s brain and cells. The Cells that receive energy from glucose help in the building of the body’s muscle and tissue. Although glucose may be important to the body too much of this sugar can cause a chronic condition called Diabetes. Diabetes, also known as Diabetes mellitus, is a chronic condition that is caused by too much sugar in the blood. This condition can affect all age groups. In fact, in 2010 a survey was taken by the National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse, on the number of newly diagnosed diabetes. Out of 1,907,000 people: 24.38% were ages 20-44, 55.17% were ages 45-64, and 20.45% were ages 65 and greater. Diabetes is a very serious condition, and it can be deadly if left untreated. This paper will help better educate the reader on the signs and symptoms, the testing process, and the management of diabetes.
The location of the pituitary gland is in the sella turcica of the sphenoid bone and attaches to the hypothalamus(Marieb & Hoehn 441). The Hypothalamus is included in the function of the pituitary gland as it sends chemical stimulus to it(Marieb & Hoehn 442).Part of the pituitary is called the “ master endocrine gland” due to the fact that is produces many hormones that affect the whole body(Shannon 175).This part of the pituitary gland is called the anterior pituitary(Marieb & Hoehn 601). There are six hormones that the anterior pituitary secretes normally. These Hormones are growth hormones, thyroid stimulating hormones, adrenocorticotropic hormones, luteinizing hormones, follicle stimulating hormones and prolactin hormones( Shannon 175).The Hormone prolactin is one that in normal function stimulates the act of lactation for new mothers to feed their baby(Shannon 175).
The pathophysiology of diabetes mellitus in is related to the insulin hormone. Insulin is secreted by cells in the pancreas and is responsible for regulating the level of glucose in the bloodstream. It also aids the body in breaking down the glucose to be used as energy. When someone suffers from diabetes, however, the body does not break down the glucose in the blood as a result of abnormal insulin metabolism. When there are elevated levels of glucose in the blood, it is known as hyperglycemia. If the levels continue to remain high over an extended period of time, damage can be done to the kidneys, cardiovascular systems; you can get eye disorders, or even cause nerve damage. When the glucose levels are low in one’s body, it is called hypoglycemia. A person begins to feel very jittery, and possibly dizzy. If that occurs over a period of time, the person can possibly faint. Diabetes mellitus occurs in three different forms - type 1, type 2, and gestational.
ATTENTION GETTER: In a recent report, The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) uncovered an alarming statistic: more than a half million students in the 8th and 10th grade are currently using some form of anabolic steroids. ( www.steroidabuse.org)
Another locate area referred to the brain stem that has inside pons, medulla, and celebellum. Pituitary gland was attached to our braine. Cingulate Gyrus, Lateral ventrice, fornix, septum pellucidum, cerebral acqueduct. and tegmentum are part we can see in the dissection of sheep braine.
Typically, an 8-hour fasting glucose s taken to diagnose diabetes. If the blood sugar is 126 or more and is accompanied by classic signs of diabetes, then diabetes is indicated. . (Wong, Hockenberry, Wilson, 2015) Unable to remember the diagnostic study from when LF was diagnosed, they were able to tell me the continued testing that they do currently. Child gets her blood sugar** checked continuously throughout the day and sometimes in the middle of the night in order to prevent of catch highs and lows. Every three months, the child goes to see her pediatrician in Peoria that specializes in Diabetes and gets labs** drawn. Other than that, the family noted no other testing or procedures done regarding the child’s Type I diabetes.
It's time! We're ready to start diving into my specialty: performance-enhancing nutraceuticals. And No, I'm not referring to steroids or Viagra. I'm talking about probably the most-overlooked and maybe the most secretive performance-enhancing nutraceuticals available: nootropics, aka cognitive enhancers!
Diabetes is a disease in which a person’s body in unable to make or utilize insulin properly which affects blood sugar levels. Insulin is a hormone that is produced in the pancreas, which helps to regulate glucose (sugar) levels, break down carbohydrates and fats, and is essential to produce the body’s energy. The CDC (2013) offers reliable insight, summarized here, into the different types of diabetes, some causes, and health complications that may arise from the disease.
The pituitary gland is the administrator or brains of the operation. Does anyone know where the pituitary is located? That’s right, the brain. The body is always about convenience and maximum functioning. The pituitary sends a signal in the form of TSH to the thyroid gland with information on how much energy (thyroid) the body needs to function (Porth, 2011).
When the blood glucose is higher than the normal levels, this is known as diabetes disease. The body turns the food we eat into glucose or sugar and use it for energy. The insulin is a hormone created by the pancreas to help the glucose get into the cells. The sugar builds up in the blood because either the body doesn’t make enough insulin or can’t well use its own insulin (CDC, 2015). In the United States diabetes is known as the seventh leading cause of death. There are different types of diabetes. However, there are two main types of diabetes and these are; Diabetes type 1 and Diabetes type 2 (CDC, 2015).

Warning signs in other cases may be an indication of very high glucose levels, though the symptoms may vary in different people, the possibilities of individuals experiencing the same symptoms are likely. Following are some symptoms encountered by children whose blood sugar is very high. Deep, rapid breathing may take place, their ...
When the blood sugar levels aren’t normal, it’s a disease called diabetes. Diabetes (diabetes mellitus) is a deficiency of the hormone insulin or the inhibition of its action with the cells. The insulin acts like a bridge between the glucose and the cells. In the US there are about 16 million people who suffer from diabetes. It is the seventh most common cause of all deaths. Diabetes is most common in Native American females over 45 years of age.
The pancreas uses these two hormones in order to monitor blood glucose levels. After a meal, blood glucose usually rises. This is when insulin secretion will start (Nussey S, Whitehead S. “Endocrinology: An Integrated Approach”). Consequently, blood glucose decrease to the normal range. This is how insulin maintains blood levels when is high. However, when blood level falls below normal range, glucagon comes into play. Low blood glucose occurs usually when hungry and during exercise. This will then triggers glucagon secretion. When blood level falls, the body goes into imbalance. Hence is why in order to maintain homeostasis glucagon is crucial. The body will tell the pancreas to increase more glucose and the pancreas will secrete glucagon by taking glycogen from the liver to produce glucose. The glucose will produce energy and will make blood glucose concentration increase (Homeostasis of Insulin and Glucose, Abpischools.org). When the pancreas cannot maintain homeostasis, many problems will arise in the body. When the pancreas fails to produce insulin, type 1 and 2 diabetes can occur. For those with type 1 diabetes, insulin injections will be needed in order to regulate blood glucose level, otherwise, glucose levels will be out of control. For type 2 diabetes, they are not insulin dependent like type 1, however, the body does not create enough in the body. When blood glucose
The pancreas, in addition to its digestive process has two important hormones, Insulin and Glucagon which are important for the maintenance of blood glucose level at a narrow range. Not only glucose, but also they are important for protein and lipid metabolism. Glucagon is secreted by the alpha cells of the islet of Langerhans and Insulin is secreted by the beta cells of Langerhans. Both are secreted to portal vein. (8)
