Eminem is one of the best rappers that have ever aside from being motivational. There is not one thing that he hasn't done that can’t be completed. There has been many obstacles that Marshall Mathers (Eminem) has overcome and to this day he stands still. He changed the rap game forever and motivated people to go out of their way and just do that they love doing. One of the most memorable moments of his career was when he performed with Elton John to prove that he supports gay rights.
Personally, Eminem’s early life would best be described as depressing and abusive. As a kid, he went from being bullied to “becoming one of the best rappers that ever lived”.(“Eminem’s biography “(1)). Marshall began rapping early at the age of 4. He went to school

all the way until the 9th grade. Once he reached the 9th grade he flunked 3 times and then dropped out. At 17, he made a name for himself, Eminem, which was taken from his initials. The hip-hop community refused the white, who at the end found the easiest way to win underground hip hop society by becoming a “battle rapper performing in several clubs and forcing himself on radio shows”. (“Eminem‘s biography”(1)). He wasn’t immediately accepted by the public, but as time went by, he proved himself as a qualified rapper. Eminem later joined the new jacks and then moved to soul intent and produced his first recorded single with them in 1995. Proof and Eminem were both in one group named D12, each of whom ended up focusing more on their solo careers rather than their collaboration. Before Eminem entered the rap game in 1992, the genre was still very popular with artists as big as 2pac and Biggie Smalls. “2pac and Biggie Smalls were one of one of the most popular artists in the rap industry, mostly known for their East vs West coast beef” (Weiss). The east coast-west coast hip-hop rivalry was a feud from 1991 to 1997. Also, Eminem’s mentor, Dr.Dre, was making a big success with his album “The Chronic in 1992”(Dr.Dre’s Biography). Dre hit the top of the hip hop charts with the chronic on death row records. The biggest hit was “nothing but a g thang” which featured snoop dogg, who then was a little known rapper. With this latest release, Dre helped introduce G-funk, which incorporated musical samples and melodies from funk with gangsta rap, Dre then established his own label, Aftermath Entertainment, in connection with Interscope Records. He signed numerous acts to aftermath but his “two greatest success come with Eminem and 50 cent”.(Dre Biography”2”) Eminem’s career was motivational and inspirational. He never gave up on his dreams and kept doing what he was good at which was rapping. “He was also the first artist whose rap song won an academy award.”(Weiss). During his early years he would struggle to make it into the rap game until Dr.Dre heard his album and went on to sign him to his Interscope records label. After releasing his second album, which sold over 19 million copies worldwide, he won the grammy award for best rap album, received a nomination for album of the year and was “considered among the greatest rap album of all time.” (“Rolling Stone”). Whatever obstacle come through Marshall Mathers, Eminem, he will always overcome it. I Wouldn’t know much about rap but I would describe it as freedom expression after eminem started releasing his music. After Eminem released his second album, The Marshall Mathers LP, he inspired various types of artists but insulted the audience at the same time because of his lyrics. Eminem has done a lot of accomplishments throughout his career. In his almost 220 year career he has been “nominated 505 times for various awards”(“Katy”). Winning 340 times, including 13 grammys and an academy. He has sold more than 42 million tracks and 49.1 million albums in the United States. Personally, one of the biggest accomplishments he has ever done is to be the “first hip hop artist to win an academy award”.(“History of Eminem’s achievements”). He won the academy award for best original song in 2003 for “lose yourself”, the single featured in his biopic 8 mile, making him the first hip hop artist to take home a golden statue. Eminem’s impact on society would best be described as motivational.
Throughout his life he had “been bullied and harassed on a daily basis”(Serpick). All of this changed when he found a handful of friends who recognized his rhyming skills. He then dropped out of school and began competing in local freestyle throwdowns with his crew, the dirty dozen.. Eminem dropped out of school because he didn’t think it was important and failed the ninth grade three years in a row. Later on he would be bashed by other people saying that he won’t make it in the music industry. 2 years later after releasing his first album, it went to selling millions around the world and is considered one of the “best hip hop albums”(“Rolling Stone”). Later on he released a movie called “8 mile” showing how he got to where he is. This goes to show that you can start from nothing to on being one of the best rappers of all …show more content…
time. Eminem’s impact on society caused many white rappers to be accepted because of him. Rappers such as Mac Miller, Machine gun kelly, Macklemore and many famous white rappers. He didn’t just change the rap game but he also shows that you shouldn’t bully or criticize anyone because you don’t know what they are going through. Finally, he performed on of his songs with Elton John to show that he supports gay rights. Eminem has inspired me to never give up even if you are in a bad situation. His childhood is by far one of the worst ones i have ever heard of. As a child, he didn't have a father, he would get bullied everyday, and his step dad would abuse him and his mother. In the end Marshall Mathers, Eminem ended up becoming one of the greatest rappers of his generation. In the 2000's, he released a movie based on his life called "8 mile". In the end, he ends up winning and becomes a famous underground rapper. Finally his most inspirational song is "lose yourself". This song is about taking every opportunity and risk and to not let it go away if you want to succeed. This goes to show that nothing is impossible as long as you keep trying. Ever since then, Eminem has inspired me to never give up on my dreams. Eminem's legacy would best be described as legendary.
Life for him was very tough especially when he was growing up. It is hard to find a person as ideal as him to set an example of how life is and how we can overcome it. He was betrayed by the girl that he loved, abused by his father and much more, yet he rises above all those obstacles to become famous icon. Eminem is an artist that with talent of magnitude that is unprecedented. Even if he doesn’t make a single now, his music will always remain to be legendary. Most of this was all because of the trouble he went through growing up. “I come from Detroit, where it’s rough and i'm- not a smooth talker”(Rolling
Stone). Overall, Eminem is one of the best rappers that have ever lived because of his accomplishments and the obstacles that he has overcome. He changed the rap game forever and made the hip hop community accept white rappers. He also won many awards and released a movies based on his life. Finally he was the first rapper to ever win a grammy for best original song. The name of the song was “Lose Yourself”. It motivated people to never let an opportunity slip and to always take the chance whenever you can..
While Eminem portrays himself as being from Detroit, he is actually from Missouri. He moved back and forth between Detroit, Michigan and Kansas City, Missouri for most of his childhood. At the age of seventeen, Eminem started getting serious about wanting to be a rapper, giving himself the nickname M&M (meaning Marshal Mathers) and later decided to change the spelling to Eminem with the second E backwards as part of his trademark. He failed 9th grade 3 times, then dropped out, “School wasn’t for me” (Eminem). An education was the last thing on his mind. After throwing himself into the rap world on many levels, usually being shut down, he kept trying.

The rapper known as Tupac Shakur, was born in 1971 in Bronx, NY. Tupac's struggles began early. When Tupac was young, his mother was a member of the organization known as "The Black Panthers." Tupac survived a hard childhood with a drug addicted mother and the rough streets of Baltimore, where they both moved. Soon after their move, Tupac would attend the Baltimore High School for the Performing Arts. This school is what started Tupac in his love of poetry as well as music. Tupac also began writing his rap lyrics here. Rap and music inspired Tupac but may have also been his downfall. This is how he ultimately became the Tupac Shakur that was, is and possibly may always be the most controversial celebrity there ever was.
Tupac Amaru Shakur was an African-American rapper, poet, and record producer during the 1990’s. In his adolescent years, he attended the Baltimore School for the Arts where he took acting and dance classes, like ballet. He was taught radical politics by his mother, which helped him develop ideas about topics he would later use in his many works. At an early age, Tupac had seen the injustices of the real world. His mother was a former Black Panther activist who turned to substance abuse during Tupac’s childhood. Aside from that, he and his mother also moved many times while they lived together in New York City. While Tupac was in Baltimore, he discovered rap; not long after, he and his mother moved to the West Coast where he joined the rap group
He may just seem like another rapper to you but if you actually listen to his lyrics you can see he’s not like any rapper out there. His name is Kanye West and he was born in Chicago Illinois. He grew up in the “ghetto” and learned to appreciate life. He didn’t learn to really, truly appreciate life until October of 2002. Driving back to his hotel late one night after a recording session, the new-coming rap/hip-hop artist was involved in a devastating, near fatal car accident. The crash left him with a broken jaw in three places and an appreciation for life. Just weeks after being released from the hospital he recorded his first major hit, “Through the Wire,” with his mouth still wired shut. He records every song like its going to be his last song and that makes every song better than the last. He’s not only a rap artist but also a producer. He has been responsible for being behind songs like Jay-Z’s Izzo, Girls, Girls, Girls, The Takeover, and 03 Bonnie and Clyde.
How much does the world really know about Tupac Shakur? Tupac Shakur was a renowned hip hop artist whose rap music brought up many controversial topics. ...it song “Lose Yourself” exemplifies the use of poetry in lyrics that many rappers have been known to implement into their craft. The uses of these particular techniques allow Eminem and many other rappers to creatively deliver their music to their audience in the form of a message, which usually involves encouraging their audience to reach for their dreams no matter the circumstance. Eminem had a miserable childhood which he learned to thrive in and succeed to what he has become now. Marshall was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on October 17, 1972. He was the child of Bruce Mathers, Jr. and Deborah Nelson. Soon after Marshall’s birth his father left to California. His mother struggled to maintain a household, for which the result was frequent movement from Michigan and Missouri. The family then settled in Warren, Michigan in an African American middle-class neighborhood. The family was the only Caucasian tenants through the region. Marshall was a tall, scrawny, and white male that stood out amongst his peers, of African Americans, and was constantly bullied for his color. In addition his mother was an abusive drug addict who took prescription pills. Eminem then inclined to the interest of hip-hop listening to his first rap song at nine—"Reckless" featuring Ice-T. Later in his life he suffered family loss, like his Uncle Ronnie who committed suicide. Mathers became mute and antisocial for weeks. In high school he dropped out for repeating ninth-grade for his third time, for poor grades, and pursued lyrical writing. Marshall then joined rap groups and freestyles gaining success in the predominantly black industry. He then adapted to the name “M&M” as his rapper name, which later evolved to “Eminem”. Eminem’s adversities affected many of his works throughout his life and career. After his album Infiniti, Eminem was signed into Aftermath Records by Dr. Dre and started to produce albums of masterpiece.
Tupac’s childhood and upbringing were heavily influenced by his parents and their ideals regarding the Black Panthers, and criminal activity. Many members of his immediate family were either convicted or charged with crimes and all spoke heavy Ebonic influence in their speech. Also growing up in the East Harlem his childhood was based on the street education. He was an avid reader however and enjoyed many styles of classical literature and this is what led him to join and perform in the 127th Street Repertory Ensemble where he learned how to act and also where he began his rap career. He not only succeeded at his new school but also was the starring role in plays like the Nutcracker and A Raisin in the Sun. These influences helped h...
