Egg Drop Challenge Essay My partner for this egg challenge was Chyna Nunnery. Before building our egg, we searched the internet and found a steady and good idea for our egg. We started making the egg dropper that Tuesday and finished it on Wednesday. It was not challenging at all, you just had to know what you were going to do, at first I was not sure about it but after doing it my whole mindset changed. We used straws to make a straw box and it was very colorful, but also, we cut holes in our box so that our teacher could see the egg. I was kind of worried about the egg breaking because at first we didn’t have a strong parachute, until we found a huge garbage bag to use as a parachute. After putting our newer parachute on, I
The purpose of this project was to understand the forces, momentum, and energy a contraption would experience during an impact from a pendulum at 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25mph. The project was required to hold and protect 2 raw large Grade A eggs from each pendulum impact respectively.
The first day we weighed the egg before putting it in a cup of vinegar, the egg weighed 55.47 grams, we left the egg here for approximately forty-eight hours. The second day the egg was still in the vinegar. The third day we moved it into the corn syrup where it stayed until the next morning, the egg weighed 76.66 grams. The fourth day the egg was put into tap water with one drop of food coloring where it weighed 41 grams, the egg stayed here until the following morning. On the last day we cleaned the egg off like the previous times and weighed it which came to 80.33 grams, we then disposed of the egg seeing that there wasn’t anymore use for
There are three safety features in the egg project. The three safety features are seat belts, brakes, and airbags. The seat belts are made out of tape. The seat belts put pressure on the passenger. This means that it will keep the passenger inside the car instead of flying out and getting injured. The airbags are made out of bubble wrap. The bubble wrap will have a huge impact on the area of the passenger. It is like a soft cushion. This protects the passenger from hitting the passenger. The passenger will get hurt by the airbag, but not as much without one. If there wasn’t an airbag in a car, people would be getting into a second collision. A second collision is where the body hits the car. That is the whole point of an airbag. The brakes are made out of cotton balls. The brakes prevent the passenger from getting hit and it puts force on it. Also, they prevent it from getting into a first collision. A first collision is where a
After Calle Ocho and Lent comes Easter Sunday, where the celebration of Easter honors Christ’s resurrection. Since eggs are symbols of renewal and are perfect for spring, they are used for decorations and egg hunting activities. Mexican Americans put a different spin on the event, draining and cleaning eggshells a month before Easter to create cascarones. Cascarón or cascarones means eggshell. Cascarones are filled with confetti and closed with colored tissue paper to make hats that can be cracked over someone’s head.
I would advise them to make a pillow like contraption that would allow the egg to land on it with out rolling of the pillow.
Pigeon’s Egg Head (The Light) Going and returning from Washington is painted by George Catlin in 1837-39. This painting portraits the extraordinary changes an Assiniboine warrior underwent by comparing his appearance when he was traveling to and coming back from capital city Washington, DC in 1831. In his amazing art work, Catlin argued the cultural conflicts that rose when indigenous people and Euromericans interact. Incorporating different formal elements such as using of lines in different direction, variety of colors at a different intensity, value and tone, changing texture at different part of the painting and organization of individuals and objects in such specific relationships helped Catlin to convey his massage effectively for almost
Chickens have to endure suffering that no living thing should have to go through. The egg laying chickens have to be forced into tiny cages without enough room to stretch their wings. Up to 8 hens are crammed in to a cage that is the size of a folded newspaper, about 11"-14". Stress from the confinement leads to severe feather loss so the chicken will be almost completely bald in the cold cages. When the chickens are of egg-laying age, there beaks are cut off without any pain killers to ease the pain, they do this so the chickens don’t break their own eggs and eat them because the chickens are hungry.
My friends and I decided to have bad fun for spring break. When we first started egging it was only six of us. Earl, David, Charles, Brandon, Jerrid, and myself. As the first couple of days went by we realized that other people in the city was starting to form teams of their own to get us back for egging them. Let me tell you a little bit about my crew.
For my egg drop project, it was pretty challenging trying to find a format structure to protect the egg from cracking. Finally I figured out one that was good enough to keep the egg in or so I thought.
Margaret Atwood's “Bluebeard's Egg” is a story centred upon a woman called Sally, describing her relationship with her husband, Ed, and her best friend, Marylynn. The story is told in a third person perspective, a “God-like” figure that takes us through the whole narration, but only revealing the thoughts of one character, Sally. In the story “Bluebeard's Egg”, the main conflict is within the protagonist, Sally; that is, her external self versus her internal self. Sally's external self does not act according to her internal self. In other words, Sally does not express her emotions and thoughts due to the many concerns that she has, both psychological and environmental.
The video of the man cracking open an egg has become very popular on YouTube. It has received over 320,000 views. At the end of the video, the man puts the eggs inside of the pan and starts cooking
The parachute increases the objects air resistance to balance it with the force of gravity, the object does not accelerate anymore and falls at a relatively constant speed. The parachute slows down an object by around 90% which allows the object to reach a low enough terminal speed to land safely and softly on the earth’s
Most teenage kids waste gas money and time driving to a diner for an average omelet. However, this does not have to be the case. The ability to cook for yourself is a skill you will use all your life. Everyone should know how to cook for themselves; a bacon, cheese, and spinach omelet is a simple dish to assemble and it’s delicious.
The rumble of the helicopter shakes a tension into your composure. With every second, your worries broaden. The time has come, signaled by a shift in acceleration, and the readiness of the hands pressed to the straps and buckles. Un-buckled, you rise with everyone, and go to await the fall. This is your first time sky diving, and it is expected that you would be afraid. Suddenly, the rumble of the helicopter sounds rather inviting. The sky is empty and boundless, with the exception of the nauseating ground below. "What is the point of sky diving? It seems so pointless…" It is your turn to go, and you 've seemed to convince yourself that it is indeed pointless. These skydivers seem to recognize the feeling, and once you make sign of
Skydiving has been around since ancient Chinese times as a form of aerial stunts. Leonardo da Vinci and the Chinese are both credited for creating the parachute, but it was really in the 18th century when France both created it and used it by basically throwing themselves out of planes. Little did anyone know that skydiving would be one of the craziest sports today. Jumping out of a plane two and a half miles up into the sky would not be someone’s idea of a normal day. As bad as two and a half miles up in the sky is, try doing it traveling at a rate of one-hundred and sixty miles per hour with just a parachute to save you. To many people this would be a nightmare; but to some of us, it is the biggest thrill of our lives.
