Travellers violate local communities.
‘Connect with locals’ is one of the trends in tourism nowadays. Travellers want to experiences how local people are living, how their life’s are and what they are doing on a normal Monday morning. There are already a lot of companies that are helping travellers to encounter with local communities, think about AirBnB, With locals or I likelocal.
These companies give travellers a change to see a normal day in the lives of local people all over the world. But whether this is the real daily life, or forced because of the image travellers are having from a place or tribe is not sure. That is why travellers violate local communities, because there won’t be a normal day when everybody is watching you.

Travellers think that it is okay to take pictures from local people, hand made crafts without asking their permission. When finished they move on without obtaining anything.
Positive effects on locals
Along with all the negative effects there are also positive effects from tourism on the local communities. Tourism brings money to a country and helps to improve the local facilities. Here you need to think about facilities like water facilities and streets. Together these two facilities can simply help to develop the infrastructure of a country. Tourism can also create new entertainment facilities, exercise-related areas, restaurants, malls or other relaxation options. The longer tourism develops in a country the more improvements it will give to the country itself.
Another common effect that will increase the development in a country is the money that’s been earned. The money local communities earn for helping travellers need to stay there, it needs to stay in the country where it is earned so the locals can pay for schools or public centres. These facilities are important for a country to bring the locals together and create new opportunities for them like starting their own
