"Books are a better investment in our future than bullets". Malala Yousafzai emphasized to the world at the Oslo Education Summit 2015 in Norway where she became a Nobel Prize winner at just 17 years old. Education is so important that she dedicates her life to attaining educational equality but something still deprives children of it. That is violence such as war, conflict and terrorism as she often mentioned in her speech. She alone cannot solve the problem so now first we need to know reality and raise our voices to provide equal educational opportunity with all children. Don’t take it for granted but take a look at the actual situations in the world.

According to UNICEF, 300,000 boys including girls have been dragged away from their families and been treated as child soldiers by anti-government forces or terrorists. They don’t even know how to write their name but how to use a gun instead. They would completely think violence is better than education as anti-government forces teach them that it’s true. Girls, they are also victims. In Syria, where child marriage wasn’t popular before the conflict, more and more girls are forced into it now due to a refugee life, poverty and a lack of an educational opportunity which all arises from conflict. Some girls marry to earn money. The rate of mother and baby mortality from giving birth at young age is high; in addition to this, girls have to drop out school because of child care, although they don’t complete their education. Seeing as they remain poor and ignorant as long as conflicts torment them, they can’t let their children go to school, which means not educated for generations. Going to school makes children’s life brighter and peaceful; in addition, ensuring education provides many added benefits like in recovery, stability and economic progress in the countries. In some communities, people can already bond together through an action to build new schools. The Education for All Global Monitoring Report says; however, $39 billion is needed to give all children access to 12 years of education for free each year. You may find it too expensive but make sure you remember that the $39 billion equals just 8 days military work. Just stopping it, that’s it. It solves the problem, which leads to meet MDGs for education as well. So I want to say to the world in a loud voice, why don’t you realize that only having war potential solves
