The famous Ed Sheeran is a Grammy-winning singer and songwriter known for the hit song Shape of You. The song was released on January 28, 2017 breaking the record for Most Weeks in Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10. “Shape of You” very subtly speaks about a random hook up, but Ed Sheeran is doing more than just mirroring that approach to love. He believes having an emotional bonding process can lead into a lasting-love relationship - rather than a train wreck of regret. Many today argue about how relationships often lead to a physical intimacy, then perhaps contributing an emotional kind. The video stars Ed Sheeran as a boxer who falls in love with another boxer, played by actor and dancer Jennie Pegouskie at the Tiger's Eye Boxing Gym in Seattle. …show more content…

The “handmade” is a reference that they are “meant” to be together and stating that her love is towards someone like him. He continues, “Come on now, follow my lead / I may be crazy, don’t mind me / Say, boy, let’s not talk too much / Grab on my waist and put that body on me / Come on now, follow my lead / Come, come on now, follow my lead.” In this verse, Sheeran is stating that he wants her to enjoy the moment they are having together. From Sheeran’s perspective, he sings the main chorus of the song, “I’m in love with the shape of you / We push and pull like a magnet do / Although my heart is falling too / I’m in love with your body.” He describes this one moment with her and begins to feel this physical attraction to her body that he never experienced before. So after making romance, in the second verse of “Shape of You,” Sheeran continues to sing, “One week in we let the story begin / We’re going out on our first date / You and me are thrifty, so go all you can eat / Fill up your bag and I fill up a plate.” They are expanding their relationship deeper by going out on date. Being thrifty is a reference to having things in common, like they are eating at a buffet so they can eat a lot of cheap food for little money. They began to talk for “hours and hours about the sweet and the sour / and how your family is doing okay.” This is a reference about their pros and cons about their lives and spends some time talking about her family if they are doing well. Once they finished eating and talking, they “leave, and get in a taxi, then kiss in the backseat / Tell the driver make the radio play, and I’m singling like. The couple get handsy in the taxi and the radio provides a distraction to cover up the kissing
