Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): Born in Petrus as the only son of a wealthy and well known blacksmith, later moved to Hanseti. Zael's mother died giving birth to him, leaving his father an only parent and a widower, who refused to remarry and who relied on Zael to help him in his bussines. Rohan, Zael's father was a Highlander who used to travel alot in his younger days, looking to perfect his craft,...He learned much about blacksmithing in Hiebenhall and Kal'Agnar. Once Rohan came back after many weeks and months spent traveling, he had master knowlege of blacksmithing. Zael had to stay close to his father for the better part of his life, during which he learned much about his father's craft. Due to the fact that his father worked with weaponry, he was taught to fight at an early age. Many foreigners traveled to his father's shop to seek out the weapons he made. His father did not discriminate, he didn't ask any questions, he did what he was payed to do. Zael listened to their conversations, speaking of bravery and adventure, which only made his desire to stray away from the busy life in the city grow more, and more. Eventually Zael decided it was time to go out into the world, and forge a legend of his own. His father however, did not approve of this. After the death of his wife, he was left alone, the only person he had was his son, and

The American couple is the fourth culture that was portrayed in this film. Their children are shown in the scenes with the Mexican nanny, while they are vacationing in Morocco. The couple is taking the trip to try to safe their marriage. While they are trying to eat we witness how the wife does not trust any of the people there. When she is given water and ice she throws it out and complains she wants a bottled water instead. Focusing on the semiotics her actions can indicate she does not trust anyone or anything from a different country. Also she is shown wearing fancy jewels and relaxing clean clothes, which makes her seem wealthy. The wife is the only blonde in the country which makes her stand out. Her husband and she had typical

What comes to mind when you think of sexual harassment? Most people picture an individual grabbing another individual unwillingly in attempt of committing nonconsensual sex. However, sexual harassment can be something as insignificant as being called something negative. It is anything that makes a person feel uncomfortable about his/her sexuality. According to the law, sexual harassment is anything from unwelcome sexual advances and requests for sexual favors to verbal statements of a sexual nature. It violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Sexual Harassment Policy, which is currently in place in all schools and work places, is aimed at providing an educational and work environment free of harassment. This includes sexual harassment and every form of intimidation or exploitation.
Discrimination is known to exist in all workplaces, sometimes it is too subtle to notice, and other times it is exceedingly obvious. It is known that everyone subconsciously discriminates, dependant on their own beliefs and environments that surround them. However, discrimination can be either positive or negative in their results, and sometimes discrimination is a necessary part of life.
Discrimination laws exist to prevent discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national origin, physical disability, and age by employers. The main discriminatory practices identified today are bias in hiring, promotion, job assignment, termination, compensation, and various types of harassment. The following paragraphs outline the most common anti-discrimination laws today. (allbusiness.com, 2006)

18.)"Know Your Rights at Work: Workplace Sexual Harassment." AAUW. American Association of University Women, n.d. Web. 17 Apr. 2014.
In our society sexual harassment has been in the workplace for years. The use of sexual harassment in the workplace has been remembered best as a weapon used to keep women in their place which would cause them to forfeit promotions within their organizations. It was once believed that women were the only victims but the shift is now changing men are also reporting that they are also victims of sexual harassment on the job. In 1964 the Civil Rights Act was passed and employers began to recognize that they were liable for two types of sexual harassment. The first kind of harassment is Quid pro quo when a supervisor offers the employee sexual advances in order to get or keep a job, and also this harassment is used to determined if an individual will get a promotion. The second form of harassment is when supervisors or coworkers make working conditions hostile and unbearable. In both instances the legal ramification will cost an organization to suffer a financial loss in productivity, time, and money. Throughout this research my finding is that it's to the company's best interest to provide a clear policy on sexual harassment.
Workplace harassment is unwelcome actions that are based on a person’s race, religion, color, and sex, and gender, country of origin, age, ethnicity or disability. The targets of the harassment are people who are usually perceived as “weaker” or “inferior” by the person who is harassing them. Companies and employers can also be guilty of workplace harassment if they utilize discriminatory practices against persons based on ethnicity, country of origin, religion, race, color, age, disability, or sex. These discriminatory practices have been illegal since the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Civil Rights Act of 1964), and have been amended to be more inclusive of other people who experience discrimination by the Civil Rights Act of 1991 (The Civil Rights Act of 1991), and most recently, President Obama’s signing of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 (Stolberg, 2009).
There are many laws protecting employees and employers against harassment and discrimination. Harassment and discrimination constitutes more than just race, color, and religion. However, employees fail to report harassment and discrimination due to the lack of knowledge about their rights. Three of the most important laws e...
Does it matter whether a seemingly obscure language spoken by a few people in an isolated corner of the world goes out of existence?
In this assignment, I will go to talk about Sexual Harassment in the workplace, which is a serious problem in the workplace, how to recognize it, establishing procedures to report it and how to prevent it. The goal is zero tolerance harassment in the workplace.
In addition to legal measures, many governments, employers’ and workers’ organizations, and other bodies are using a range of techniques to prevent sexual harassment and help its victims. Governments, for example, issue guidance on how to design anti-sexual harassment measures and to offer counselling to workers who have been targeted. Workers’ and employers’ organizations are producing model policies and collective agreement clauses, issuing guidance on complying with laws, conducting research and providing training. At the workplace, growing numbers of employers are introducing sexual harassment policies and complaints procedures. Moreover, there appears to be an emerging consensus around what workplace policies should contain and the steps to be taken to implement them, which can be used by those employers who have yet to take action.
