1.0 Introduction
The topic of this analytical report is E-cigarettes and Vaping. The audience of this analytical report is the Ministry of Health.
E-cigarettes and vaping are defined as an addictive psychoactive tool (Barbeau et al., 2013, 1). The smoker will face a hard time in quitting smoking as e-cigarettes and traditional cigarettes contain nicotine. Nicotine is addictive that makes smokers crave for smoking. Users assume that smokers can quit smoking through e-cigarettes. In a medical experiment, the researcher concludes that e-cigarettes can help smokers to quit smoking (Wagener et al., 2012, 1545). Awareness has been raised that e-cigarettes could damage smoker. Many industries advertised that e-cigarettes does not cause second-hand smokers and are healthier than the traditional cigarettes (T. Schripp et al., 2012, 25). However, this information is not fact-based.

Year by year, the number of smokers increased among the young teenagers and adults. This is owing to the family influence, work stress, peer pressure and other causes. E-cigarettes also provided a variation of the flavour of the e-liquid which is used in the device to created sweet scented vapour. E-cigs are less harmful than regular cigarettes. They mimic the sensations of traditional cigarettes but do not burn or create tobacco smoke or ashes. For example, E-cigs can help regular smokers cut down on smoking cigarettes. Regular smokers can smoke spend less on cigarettes and incest in having an E-cig. Some might say they are cheaper than spending more than 20 dollars or more on three boxes of cigarettes. We can see vapor cigarettes everywhere these days, even becoming a media spotlight. They are advertised in many ways, from an alternative to smoking to a miracle product that has the ability to cure the habit forever. However, the only problem with these claims is that not all of them might be accurate, as far as critics are concerned. To get a good insight on this matter, let us take a look at its pros and cons.

Eighty percent of smokers began smoking before they turned eighteen (Statistic Brain-Underage Smoking Statistic). Smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer in America. Adolescents are smoking cigarettes and other tobacco products more each day. Young people aren’t aware of the effects that smoking has on their body, some know the effects and still smoke to look “cool” or “popular”. The truth is that they are just slowly killing themselves. “Smoking kills. If you’re killed, you’ve lost a very important part of your life” (Shields).

From my late teens, into my mid-twenties, I was a smoker. At first, it was just recreational; however that changed fairly quickly. I began buying them and smoking regularly throughout the day. It then progressed to smoking a pack per day until it was too late. I was officially addicted. I knew it was a terrible habit and I was shamed of it and would hide it from friends and family hoping they wouldn’t find out. Finally, after coughing hacking, and repeatedly getting sick several times a year, I came to the realization that I had to quit. However, it wasn’t as easy as I had anticipated. After relapsing several times before I was finally able to quit, I broke this terrible habit successfully. It was an extremely difficult habit to break and I’ll never go back. I was a lucky individual who had the mental toughness and willpower to overcome this strong addiction, but Americans struggle to quit each year, and many never do. However, there’s a new product on the market today called electronic cigarettes that are believed to aid individuals in the fight against addiction. It’s a battery powered device that heats a nicotine diluted solution into a vapor that is then inhaled. It’s believed to be a healthier, more affordable alternative to tobacco cigarettes. Many actions have been taken on vaping and cigarettes, such as only allowing people over or at the age of eighteen to buy the product and putting warning labels on products. The serious issue is there needs to be action applied to the fact that these products can kill a human being. There is a wide variety of policies trying to be passed for vaping and cigarettes. A vaping regulation is trying to pass making all vape companies to carry products similar to products back when vaping firs started. This could cause the vaping market crash, making people lose money, and most important jobs. Some actions should be taken on tobacco products because of the risk of getting cancer in it is high.
One of the newest trends in America is an alternative to smoking called “Vaping”. Everyone knows that cigarettes are horrible for your health and increase your risks of cancer. Not too long ago there was a big advertisement for e-cigarettes also known as vaping. It was advertised to be a healthier alternative and comparable to a nicotine patch to help you quit smoking. Many people began to question this new form of smoking and if it was really a safer alternative. Even though vaping is a safer alternative than smoking, vaping is not harmless because you are still getting nicotine, inhaling poison and risking a weaker immune system.
