His new theory was that every time he gets pure water on himself he starts growing a new fin. Philip eventually had to grow into this new lifestyle and for now on he had to drink water through a straw, use hand sanitizer, and when he has to wash his hands he has to dry them as fast as he can, and try not to go near an area where a lot of water could get on his body. So, as Philip carried on with his new lifestyle, his mom noticed he hadn’t been acting normal. She asked him what’s wrong and Philip finally came out and said, “About a month ago I spilled water on myself and started growing a fin again, so now everytime I get water on myself I turn into a dolphin until I’m dry.” “That’s crazy! So that means you are half dolphin half man.” she replied. Then Philip said, “I guess so.” But Philip was worried that life would never be the same and he wouldn’t be able to use his gift for anything. In the end Philp had no hope. Later, after a few years, Philip grew up to become the strongest man and the strongest dolphin there ever was.
Then while Philip was in Florida for vacation, he suddenly heard he had to evacuate for a super strong, dangerous, category 5 hurricane. An accident can take away lives, either literally or figuratively. In The Pod, a short story by Maureen Crane Wartski, the main character, Jesse realizes there is more to life than being able to play soccer as he sees a dolphin out of the water, struggling for its life. The story’s symbolism and irony make one think of the significance of living life.
He teaches the kid what to do in order to successfully reel in a large, beautiful fish. Ironically, the narrator is the one who learns from the kid in the end. At the beginning of the story, everything is described negatively, from the description of the kid as a “lumpy little guy with baggy shorts” to his “stupid-looking ’50s-style wrap-around sunglasses” and “beat-up rod”(152). Through his encounter with the boy, the narrator is able to see life in a different way, most notable from how he describes the caught tarpon as heavy, silvery white, and how it also has beautiful red fins (154). Through the course of the story, the narrator’s pessimistic attitude changes to an optimistic one, and this change reveals how inspiring this exchange between two strangers is. This story as a whole reveals that learning also revolves around interactions between other people, not only between people and their natural surroundings and

Philip demonstrates independence after experiencing blindness as evidenced in the novel when he was able to survive after Timothy’s death. In the beginning of the novel, Philip demonstrates being helpless when he fell into the shark infested water, and Timothy had to risk his life in order to save him. In chapter 6, on page 53, he states in his mind, “I knew how to swim, but didn’t know which way to go,” and on page 52 he was yelling for Timothy, while struggling underwater. Philip was helpless once he fell into the shark infested water because he was blind and did not know where the raft was located

You can’t even begin to save all this starfish, and to be honest, you won’t even make a difference.
The illustration of women and their bodies during times of revolution and political protests have been considered viable sources of commentary on the legitimacy of the cause and their agency within the public sphere. Weather being idealized or demonized for their thoughts and actions, women have been subjected to their bodies being inspected and manipulated by the media to create allegories of heroism or vilified to discredit a movement all together. Two teenage girls, Jeanne Laisne and Emma Gonzalez, are no stranger to this contrasting predicament. Jeanne Laisne, known also as Jeanne Hachette, became a symbol of heroism and courage to the French people following a battle in 1472 despite her gender. As seen in Jean-Jacques-Francois Le Barbier’s
