The Bible has no specific verse or rule that restrict Christians from doing business with people who have different religious viewpoints. When talking about business, the Bible is by no means to prohibit Christians from becoming partnership with an unbeliever. Wanda definitely misunderstands the context of the Bible about not conducting business with an unbeliever. However, her concern is reasonable for different religious background can result in great difference in personalities, beliefs, and behaviors. Christians has a supreme purpose to live accordingly to the Bible’s teaching and to glorify God. An unbeliever, indeed, will not share the same goal and sometimes can contradict with it. Thus, not only Wanda but also many other Christians are having similar hesitation of forming a corporation with their non-believe friend. When Paul mentions Christians should not be “yoked together with unbelievers…” (2 Cor. 6:14-18 NIV), he is warning Christian about uniting with unbelievers whose values and motivations in business are “equally yoked” or incongruent with those of the Lord’s. From a Christian perspective, Wanda and her business partner have to learn to effectively communicate and listen to each other’s opinions to resolve future arguments and misunderstanding that could lead to serious consequences. God teaches mankind to justify every spoken words and actions towards other people; and as an image of God, Wanda has a mission to become a blessing for everyone, including her non-believe friend. Once they decide to become partners, it is significant to prioritize the mutual benefit they get from the corporation that outweigh the problems they have due to the religious differences. Therefore, Wanda should not worry about selling her stock in GM or forming a enterprise with her lost
