I, personally, agree that dog parks are an important part of a city or even large town. However, the park should be placed in a centralized location that still remains distanced from houses or apartments enough to provide peace to citizens who want privacy. I would mostly agree with the arguement from the first blog, "A Dog Park Benefits All". This passage provdes powerful and reasonable arguements to support the idea that a dog park would benefit a high, dense population community. However, the concerns of the following blog passage are relevant and should be taken into consideration. A dog park would benefit a community in the same way that a normal park or skate park does. Just like how children and teens have a safe place to hang out and interact in positive ways inside a community park, dogs would have the designated area to let out energy built up from being stuck inside small houses or apartments. They would be out of the way from people afraid of dogs along with being around dog enthusiasts. Dogs would learn that the time and place to act wild and release energy is at the park surrounded by other dogs doing the same. Socializing is healthy for all creatures. Dogs can bark loud causing a disturbance to fellow citizens. This concern can be taken into consideration by setting rules in place. The park can be closed after eight in the afternoon and have no street lights pointing to it to avoid dogs being there when people and children are trying to get to sleep. Also the placement of the park is key in keeping everyone happy. My town has a dog park where there is only a few houses within a half mile radius of it. If the park is away from houses enough then it can not disturb many people. Cities are loud already, a dog park wouldn't overwhelm the noises of a large, packed
