Public policy and social policy is one of those topics like terrorism, a very complicated issue that many social scientists are talking about and this is due to change, revolution or development over time with every generation having it is the problem most especially now as we leave in a much -sophisticated world. The core argument in this work is to convince the reader that both public policy and social policy link to each as both has implications for the wellbeing of society meaning they can be seen as one or the same thing and that there is no universal agreement to even try and differentiate them. The distributive policy is the policy that has to do the provision of public good and services or the allocation of government money to improve the life of its citizens and the government chooses what to invest on example is Germany, which decided to abolish tuition fees and make schooling free for everyone (Sean, 2015). Although the distributive policy is under a public policy it is clear to see the social policy in action too because it still having to deal with the well being of its society and this is the problem with trying to separate them. Apart from the high probability of reducing inequality, redistributive policies also play a key role in supporting values that are consistency with maintainable development and reasons that are conducive to financial stability and political participation, economic development as well as environmental suitability (Pierre, 2015).
