The rules of disc golf are complex, yet still easy to learn. The person that took the least amount of strokes to make it to the pole at the end tee off at the next hole, and the person furthest away at that hole throws first. Furthermore, you may encounter a dogleg, or a stretch of trees or other foliage that you need to pass to progress through the course. Some courses have more than others. Moreover, the “lie” is where your disc first lands after teeing off. The lie is important, because you need to play it where it lies, on the lie. Exceptions can be made in recreational playing of the game, and you can do a re-throw if you land too far in the woods and it would take too long to retrieve the disc.
