Dilshad D Ali publicized her article "Raising My Kids to Be Unapologetic American Muslims" on March 21st, 2018. With this article, she made known the struggles she went through as a Muslim American and hit the emotions of many who did the same. Dilshad D Ali's main point was to remember not to stray away from who you are but instead be proud of it, embracing it and all the culture that came with it. She advocated for the Muslim audience, successfully using ethos, pathos, and logos to display a beautiful message about the dual identities Muslim Americans shared, how it affected them, and how they can embrace it. Overall, she manages to present logic by showcasing the different effects 9/11 had on Muslim Americans to bring the reader closer to a more solid understanding. These were all ways she presented a logical and reasonable front, with evidence to persuade her audience. Some might disagree that Dilshad successfully uses pathos, ethos, and logos in her article because they could be anti-Muslim and have biases that make them think she doesn't understand the "threats" posed by Islam, or that they think she uses her daughter to evoke sympathy as a ploy to trick the reader, some might even believe that her use of logic is unlogical simply because they think differently. These biases and arguments can all be dispelled with simple evidence from the text, such as her experience as a writer who focuses on Muslim communities, how she ties her daughter's experiences to a broader issue of bullying among Muslim children, and the unquestionable statistics and surveys she uses to support her claims.
