Desire For Money In Christian Life

Christians should be content with the home, clothing, and food they have in life. People who love money are greedy and always ask for more but are never happy. Desire for money will cause people to find themselves in misery in this life, and it will cause them to get lost from the faith in Jesus Christ and end up in eternal destruction in hell.
It has been a long time since the first time I heard the passage in my business classes. Of course like many other student with business degree, money was my reason to pick the major. But with the time I learned that I was doing everything for the wrong reasons. When I first read 1 timothy 6:6-10 on my own, I though that making money was wrong. But I learned that as long as we do it for the right reasons as helping others or giving a percentage of what we make to our church. Money is not what is driving us to an evil world but the “love” for that money. What we do with the money we make, and how we earn that money. Christians should be content with the home, clothing, and food they have in life. People who love money are selfish and always ask for more but are never happy. Desire for money will cause people to find themselves in misery in this life, and it will cause them to get lost from the faith in Jesus Christ and end up in eternal destruction in hell.
We can always find the light at the end of the tunnel and ask for forgiveness. Finding happiness with the little that we have and being thankful for it, will make us very rich. Lets not fight and get attached to materialistic things. The day that we die, all we need is to be in piece with the Lord because we wont take anything else with us. “Serving God, having faith, love, patience, and gentleness.” (Tim 6:11) is living the right w...

Sam Lee grew up with the believe that money would solve all problems. He was taught that making money would make him happy. His parents were “Christians” but never encourage him to go to church. Sam was not happy with the normal life he had, he was determined to work for more and better. At his new job he found himself with a new group of friends that only used his for his money. He ended up falling into drug addiction and having a drinking problem, which caused him to lose his job, and everything he had. But after everything he found God and gave his life to him. Sam learned that the love for God is greater than all the money; because God can take everything we have away from us. But his love will always be there, waiting for us to go back.
