Executive summary
Desigual is a clothing company established by Thomas Meyer in Ibiza in 1983. The fist shop was opened in Barcelona in 1984. It is a company different from the others, it produces change. Their aim is to have at least one item in every wardrobe in the world. Year after year desigual is achieving his goal. This company makes a huge profit. With a turnover of 450 million euros , Desigual is growing very fast.
Desigual produces items for men, women, kids. It is a product for middle class and preferred by women especially. Everyone is seduced by colorful and floral clothes. According to Desigual life is beautiful and they try to pass this message to the clients. It is present in all the important cities of the world. Having at least 275 single brand stores.
Desigual is based on inspiration, its core value is making fun and profit by creating unconventional designs. Desigual main goal is to grow 20-25% a year , until 2017. To focus on the existing market and penetrate more. Entering to Asia market was another challenge . Every challenge is entertainment for Desigual. Unconventional is beautiful, the ordinary is unacceptable.

As the name implies , Desigual is not a brand of clothes like the others . Who goes to Barcelona finds difficult to resist the temptation to make at least one stop in one of the many colorful shops and scattered in almost all streets and shopping centre. Many tourists end up in fact , often the case in at least one of these universes , painted and very fashion which focus particularly in the historical center of the city and on the fashion street ....

Promotion: As in every single detail, desigual is special in promotion too. When you enter in desigual shops immediately you notice the cheerful spirit of desigual. The colorful clothes decorated with flowers and other alive elements, the way they are hung in the ceiling, on the walls, all this elements attract people. Desigual has a attractive offer for its clients, if you reach a certain amount of purchasing you can choose and get a product for free. The lights, the dark,colors, flowers, products,the art in the walls, the friendly atmosphere makes Desigual a place not the same with the others, a place that should be visited for sure.

Case introduction: A 19 year-old gentlemen, SS, presented to station 20N through the emergency department, following what was described by friends and family as “bizarre behavior.” SS had recently begun college at a local liberal arts school. He had done well during the first semester, but began to struggle academically during the second semester. Family attributed the decline in academic success to an increase in class size, which made SS uncomfortable. Several weeks prior to hospital admission, SS became increasingly isolated, spending the majority of his time in the dorm room and less time in class. Friends and roommates reported that SS was exhibiting bizarre behavior, often confiding in friends that he was being “spied on” by others and that people around him could “read his thoughts.” SS also endorsed a strange delusion in which those around him would blink simultaneously as a form of communication. All of the aforementioned events became overly distressing to SS and his family, so they sought medical help. SS had a limited psychiatric history for which he had seen a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist had put him on an anti-psychotic medication some months prior, but SS self-discontinued the medication after just a several week trial. As a result of the above, and a lack of explanation regarding the past psychiatric referral, the events were described as “first-episode psychosis.” Discussion regarding the diagnostic work-up followed.
This case study is intended to analyze the movie When a Man Loves a Woman, and to provide worst and best case scenarios for treatment. This film depicts a family that is struggling with a family member’s alcoholic dependency. The mother, Alice Green, is a school counselor who has an addiction to alcohol that is causing her to experience problems in her life as a result of her use. Her husband, Michael Green, is an airline pilot that is very protective Alice and often steps in and takes over for Alice, even in her role as a mother. Alice has two children, Jess and Casey, which also bear witness to their mother’s deterioration from alcohol addiction.
In “The man behind Abercrombie and Fitch.” An interview conducted by Benoit Denizet-Lewis displays a glimpse into the life of Mike Jeffries and his views of his company only hiring “good-looking” people and targeting “good-looking” people to wear his clothes. This has been done in order to force his audience to recognize that the issue of acceptance one’s peers and exclusion of a community mentioned by Mike Jeffries, is a result of cultural perceptions and individual self-image. Denizet-Lewis skillfully shows that while Jeffries remarks of not wanting the “not-so-popular” kids to shop in his stores, it poses a question to consumers asking what change in our attitudes will come or if there will be any change at all. Thus comes the issue of how consumers today have a shift in the reasoning behind why one buys clothing and the motivating factors that influence one to buy certain clothing. Denizet-Lewis also demonstrates the different messages that controversial advertisements and statements affect different groups of people and how what they project is really what people desire, though deemed by many people as unacceptable or inappropriate. The author also examines how in the news media, the image has become more important than the message and how images have taken precedent over actual issues and character. As a result of this, various communities have formed by the construct of selling to “beautiful people” and how popular appeal has become an extension of a person.

Each ad displays similarly styled handbags with clean lines and only two handles, indicating each company’s desire to keep purses feminine and traditional. The handbags presented are similar to the more traditional style used in the early 20th century, perhaps to invoke a sense of timelessness and luxury. Throughout each decade a particular lifestyle is associated with a fashion trend, as fashion is defined as a medium used to reflect an individual’s or a community’s way of life. This can be empirically elaborated as fashion being an affiliate of the lifestyle of a particular time in era. Using the following points, I will attempt to discuss how the lifestyle through the decades was represented by fashion, making the lifestyle in that time, a blueprint for fashion, particularly using the lifestyle in the 1920’s, 1980’s and the current time. Firstly the economic status as pivot tool for influencing the lifestyle in each decade will be discussed. Followed by the level of exposure and freedom in relation to the moral values of each decade. Then the social influence in each decade such as politics, music and peer pressure, on the lifestyle in relation to fashion will be discussed. Lastly a conclusion on the factors discussed and my opinion will be given.
Fashion plays an important role in the lives of billions all over the world; people, as part of a status craving society, turn to “fashion capitals” of the world for ways in which to dress and carry themselves. New York, Milan, and Paris are leaders among this fierce industry that the world lusts after. The act of consumption has been the primary means through which individuals in society participate and transform culture. Culture is not something already made which we consume; culture is what society creates through practices of everyday life and consumption involves the making of culture. When attempting to understand certain acts of consumption it is necessary to observe the relations involved in production and consumption. Through technological innovation, the fashion industry has been expanded to play a prominent role in consumers’ purchasing decisions and styles are becoming less difficult to obtain. With the expansion of department stores and shopping being viewed as a leisurely activity, this has continued to transform the act of fashion consumerism. The functional interests feature a rational attachment to clothing items. Symbolic benefits involve status and prestige to fulfill the achievement for positive self-esteem. Further benefits include a provided experience for the individual consumer and the created use of imagery and desire used to enrich one’s life.
To begin with, I shall look at what fashion is; it is a currently popular style or practice involving clothing, footwear or accessories. It mostly refers to the current trends in looks and dressing style of a person (Cumming 234). In most cases, fashion is confusedly related to costumes; when a person talks of fashion they are seen to mean fashion in terms of textile. Fashion is seen to originate from the Western world and it is copied by other places. In this paper, we shall look at how fashion affects lifestyles and the group of people who are affected most. The paper further investigates how media is used to transmit fashion from one region to the other. Although it has been seen to affect people’s lives many people have different perspectives on fashion and dressing.
Sustainable fashion is among the developing design viewpoint and movement of sustainability with the main objective of establishing a structure, which can be sustained for the foreseeable future in terms of conservationism and social accountability. This implies that all the products made are developed with much consideration to the environmental and social influence all through its overall lifetime encompassing its carbon imprint. It is revealed that sustainable fashion is not just a short time trend but one, which could endure for a long time (Fletcher 76). Beforehand, conservationism used to represent itself in the fashion world through the contribution of a portion of transactions of products for a charitable reason.
