“Go Stream!” My team called from the dugout. The ball was soaring through the sky! It went past shortstop and the second baseman. I was sprinting to first base and my heart was racing. I was running as fast as I could to first base. I knew that I hit a homerun, I knew it! “Emma, get up!” My dad yelled from the bottom of the stairs. I had a softball tournament and my dad was taking me. I got up, showered, put my uniform on, did my hair, and brushed my teeth. We got in the car and I ae my breakfast on the way. My tournament was a hour and a half away, so I took a nap and woke up. We were almost there. “I’m nervous,” I told my dad. “You will be fine,” he told me. After a hour and a half, we were at the softball complex. “Oh, I remember this place.” I concluded. “We have played many games here.” I got my ballbag out of the car and started to warm up. An hour later, we were all warmed up and ready to go. We headed to the sandy field. We settled into the dugout, and then the game started. “Visitor!” OUr team captains yelled. I was outside of the batter's box and took a practice swing. Then, I stepped into the batter's box and waited for the pitch to come. The pitcher did her normal wind up, and the ball left her hand. I timed out the ball and knew that I had to swing I swung, and the ball went soaring. It went past the shortstop and second baseman, and went right to center field. “Go Stream!” My team cried. The center fielder backed up to the fence. I heard a noise, and then saw that the center fielder had caught the ball. “Darn it!” I exclaimed. “I thought that was going to be a homerun!” We ended up winning the game, but I was still upset about the pop fly to center
