Experiencing the world is a feeling like un-other where I’m free to do as I choose as I’m in charge of which paths to take and explore. My happy place is behind the wheel of my car it is my freedom to see what the world has to offer. Whether I be driving to school or a friend’s house the experience of driving is what I crave most. With every traveled mile a new adventure has been accomplished, a feeling of thrill has been sought after, and a challenge to continue going forward is presented before me. While some may see a vehicle as a simple tool I see it as a machine of my creation a palette of colors of which I choose. I take inspiration from what I see around me to build my car to be the creation I want it to be. My car is my happy place, my instrument to play as driving is where life seems to mesh together and the stresses of life are left behind.
Once I found a job and with my life starting to get on track I wanted nothing more than to purchase a car on my own. Having a handy down family car was okay to get me where I needed to, but I felt as though I was chained to parents as no matter what it

With every car I see I find inspiration to one day make mine different, while I have only done minor work I hope to one day build it into something even more unique. Though the car is fast I appreciate it for the experiences it has given me. The car gave me the opportunity to learn to drive stick shift and truly gave me respect for the road. Even when I have nowhere to drive to I don’t care I’ll drive anyway because the feeling of being free from everywhere that causes stress in my life is the reason why I find happiness. In my little Mitsu I’m happy relaxed, because there is always going to be another mile for me to see and
But my intention is very far from being confined to provide only for those driving the cars: it is of a much ...
In the July 1997 issue of Commentary, James Q. Wilson challenges the consensus among academia’s finest regarding the automobile in his bold article, Cars and Their Enemies. Directed towards the general public, his article discredits many of the supposed negatives of the automobile raised by experts, proves that the personal car is thriving and will continue to thrive because it meets individual preference over other means of transportation, as well as presents solutions to the social costs of cars. Wilson emphasizes that no matter what is said and done in eliminating the social costs of the automobile, experts are not going to stop campaigning against it.
This fearless and tenacious spirit is overwhelming in the concept cars of the space race. They allowed the creators to feel a sense of freedom and positivity about a future that was almost expected once man had set foot on the moon. The automobile was an excellent platform for this experimentation and the artistic results have generated a sense of nostalgia that is accessible to everyone and will continue to do so for many years to come.
In the twentieth century, the introduction of the motor vehicle in the United States became not only noteworthy, but also vital in the development of modern American civilization. This technologically complex machine led citizens to vast future dependency on the invention. While mobility was suddenly not limited to alternative, more convoluted options such as railroad stations or bicycles, yet copiously amplified to aid convenience and expanded leisure opportunities. From auto-racing to redesigning infrastructure, motor vehicles allowed progression, digression, and essentially uttermost change to lifestyles of the American people.
On that note, I shifted my truck into reverse and vacated the parking lot of the college I was dual-enrolled at. The thirty minute ride to my high school could not be over soon enough, as my destiny for the upcoming summer was at stake. The multitude of emotions I experienced on the seemingly endless car ride overcame me as my speedometer pushed the speed limit. Feelings of nervousness, excitement, optimism, courage, and anxiety crept into my mind.
The short novel takes place in a speeding elegant sports car. The driver, who is the narrator, refers to himself as Papa. Papa is driving his daughter and a poet and family "friend," Henri. While driving, Papa informs them that he is aware of Henri's affair with both Papa's daughter and wife, and he is going to crash the car and all of its passengers into the stone wall of a desolate farmhouse. His purpose for this violent action is not, as would be easily concluded, to get revenge--that would simply be a bonus; his real purpose is to produce art. Papa is somewhat of an artist, and he has decided that the ultimate aesthetic is produced by the melding of the automobile into a new complex array according to his mental blueprint:
Over time, there have been several technological advancements that have shaped the world in which we live and are familiar with today, and one advancement, in particular, that has influenced American society significantly is the automobile. Since the automobile’s beginning, it has continuously been improved and modified pushing the rest of technology to keep up with its rapid pace of innovation. Americans have frequently taken advantage of the automobile’s many benefits, but what they often fail to realize is that the automobile has given American society more than just the luxury of driving. In fact, the automobile has influenced this nation and the people within it both historically and culturally
Life on the Road It’s fair to say that life on the road is something most people do not desire, as a way to live out their days; but a young man named Chris McCandless believed it was necessary to avoid the venomous grips of society. McCandless goes as far as to venture out to the rest of the United States and even crossing borders to achieve his true destination, Alaska. He shows us living such a life can hold many unique and wonderful experiences.

My car slows as it approaches a stoplight. I take this opportunity to allow my mind to become engulfed with my surroundings: the bright fierce red of the traffic light, the brilliant blue sky with its specs clouds, and the mass of hurried people. The four corners of the intersection are filled with people who are preoccupied with their fast-paced lives to notice the little things, such as animals and anxious cars awaiting the traffic light. My thoughts vigorously put all of the information that my mind has gathered from the intersection to order.
Power and control are objects every human seeks. The car has given the average man control over his environment to a degree not accessible anywhere else in his daily routine. The automobile provides something that individuals can be comfortable in, own and slowly master. The driver has complete control over his/her speed, a speed greater than one they could achieve on their own. They have power over the temperature in the car, how there seat is adjusted and what music they listen to. This constant control gives the driver a sense of security.

When I think about it, the words are rather trite, easily imaginable within a pop song or a greeting card. These words, however, were being spoken by Arundhati Roy, and in the car I, like many others who have drawn inspiration from her words, from Howard Zinn, to Judith Butler, to Ani DiFranco, felt a little more able to go back in my house, unpack my groceries, and face the next four years.
Reckless driving is extremely dangerous and is considered to be anyone who is driving with carelessness and/or who has no regard for the safety of others on the road. Reckless driving is considered to be a misdemeanor. A misdemeanor is a criminal act that is less severe then receiving a felony. Your punishments are also not as severe as penalties. Penalties for reckless driving include fines of up to $1,000, jail time, getting your parole revoked, two points on your driving record, insurance rates to go up, insurance can be cancelled and/or license suspension. Reckless driving includes speeding, not using signals, not using your headlights, disregarding traffic signs and signals, distracted driving, drag racing, and using a cell/smartphone while driving. In some cases a DUI can be deemed a “dry reckless”, which means the person was driving with disregard for others on the road. This charge is less serious then a DUI charge. If you have been pulled over for DUI and believe that it could be reduced to a “dry reckless” you should contact an attorney right away. Drag racing or a speed co...
I lived with my father for my entire life, but due to his work I did not spend much time with him. My father worked at a different city; and thus he comes home only a few times a month. My father is a mechanic. He works at a company that is distant from our home. This was due to the company being the only one and the first where cars were being assembled in Ethiopia. Sometimes on the weekends I used to go to his work place. He would give me a trip of the place; the station was filled with vehicles, trucks, and motorcycles. It was separated by sections. In each section there were only one type of vehicle and the assembly process was shown step by step. From a fuse to large engine of the car, components were getting attached.
