I moved to Atlanta in 2011 from Jackson, Mississippi, with a friend. Since then, I've gotten to know the people and diverse landscapes. Now, I consider Georgia to be my home and Mississippi a place where I lived for a long time. One of my favorite hobbies is hiking and camping. I make it a goal to visit new hiking trails every month or so. On a Friday in March, I decided to check out a campground in north Georgia called Frank Gross. I had been hiking for about an hour before I had to head back to camp. I decided to take a different route back in order to see as much of the area as I could. It was such an amazing place; if I close my eyes, I can still smell the pine trees and see the sun setting through the trees. If I had my keys at that moment, I definitely would have packed up and left. Even with my gloves, coat, and hat, I still froze my behind off. I remembered a helpful tip my dad told me to help keep warm if I were ever really cold – exercise. Exercising would help get my blood flow going and would also give me something to do. I began jogging around the campground on the small gravel path. It did not take long for me to notice that I did feel warmer.
