I am not talking like how mean they are. In Japan they are hosting dogs fights with akitas and sometimes they breed akita's with dogs that are muscular or fiesty to show off how good they look and how well they fight. In these fights people will seperate them before they are mortally wounded. even if tey seperate the dogs before they are super hurt that doesn't change the fact that this is animal cruelty. Akita's are a national treasury. if dogs fights keep happening and the dogs die while fighting then akita dogs could slowly go exstinc. In world war 2 akita dogs where going exsctinc because people wanted german sheperds to protecte them. breeders of akita's where breeading and giving them german names and hiding them places so that they wouldn't go
They are very loyal and protective dogs. They are extremely intelligent and can learn both numerous and various tricks in a short and fast periods of time. Some can be found to be laid back, while others can be more temperamental. These dogs are always looking for something to do and should be put in a home where they can look forward to daily activity, exercise and training. Although these dogs can be mistaken for aggressive and even sometimes dangerous, these dogs will grow to be what they are brought up to be. If you want a loyal, smart, loving companionship these dogs will be there to the
Asoka, an emperor born in 304 BC, earns the title as an “enlightened ruler.” He guarded his citizens during the Conquest of Kalinga by teaching them how to properly govern, and conquer land non-aggressively, which helped them become a conjoined country. During his reign, he did few malevolent things but he surpassed them with the positive deeds. Some of those accomplishments included providing services for the men he murdered, allowing the citizens who were to be killed to speak with their family, and laboring hard for his people and their futures.
Dogs have impacted the lives of 44% of American families and homes. People use dogs for much more than just a family friend. Dogs are used for special needs, assisting police, and hunting and tracking. Dogs should be appreciated and never taught to fight or be neglected. Dog fighting is unethical because man’s best friend shouldn’t have to fight for their lives.

Throughout the world there are many different countries that contain diverse cultures, religions, and life styles. There is however certain aspects within these countries and cultures that acts as a common ground between one another. One dominant aspect is the existence of dogs within these cultures. Dogs are common throughout the world, either as a domestic pet, a protector on a farm, or an assistant for hunting; amongst others. Regardless of the reason for having a dog most people have either owned one for themselves or has known somebody who has owned one at some point in their life. Despite the relative normality of having a dog in your life in one way or another, the reasons for dogs coming into existence is not common knowledge among most people. Throughout a great portion of mankind’s history dogs have been an essential part of life. The truth is dogs were actually created in part by man. It was evolution from wolves in the form of natural and artificial selection that brought dogs into existence (Harris 3). This is the most modern and widely excepted theory at this time, however this was not always the case considering the theory of evolution in of itself is relatively new in our society. After evolution as a theory was accepted there were several other variations on the theory such as, the evolution being from jackals opposed to wolves, and artificial selection being the only form of evolution to have taken place. According to Jarret A Lobell and Eric A Powell of Archaeology magazine “The idea that dogs were domesticated from jackals was long ago discarded in favor of the notion that dogs descend from the gray wolf (2)”. As for the theory that artificial selection ...
Dogs are bred and born to praise their masters. It is in their blood. Based solely on their potential to cause serious injury to a person, the top five most dangerous dog breeds are the Caucasian Ovcharka, Pit bull, German Shepard, Rottweiler, and the Alaskan Malamute (Josef, 2013). All of these breeds have ancestors. For centuries, canines have been bred for many reasons. Although it depends on the breed type, many breeds were bred to handle livestock and keep them in order. For a dog to handle livestock, they need to be tough to handle animals much larger. These instincts have passed down through generations and into the canines many people own today. When forming ones own opinion about a breed, there are many factors to consider such as breed specific legislation, the individual canine’s past, and the influence of the media.
There are many statistics that come with animal abuse. Did you know that 71% of all domestic violence cases state that the attacker harmed the animal(s) as well (animalcruelty.weebly.com ; 5th dot)? 47 out of the 50 U.S. states treat animal abuse as a felony(www.humainsociety.org/issues/abuse_neglect/ ;4th paragraph). In all animal abuse cases 64.5% involve dogs (1212 cases, mainly pitbulls), 18% (337 cases), and 25% (470 cases) involve other animals being harmed (www.humainsociety.org/issues/abuse_neglect/facts/animal_cruelty_facts_statistics.html#.u3E...
“There can be many reason for animal cruelty, like any other form of violence, is often committed by a person who feels powerless, unnoticed, or under control of others. Some who are cruel to animals copy acts what they have seen or that have been done to them, others see harming an animal as a safe way to get revenge against--or threaten-- someone who cares about that animal”. (“Animal… Statistics”) Concerns towards abusing animals have gone up in the past. Although there are not many cases on animal abuse, many have occurred. Abusers are charged with Criminal Animal Abuse and then sentenced to life in prison. Some animals that are physically abused are sometimes rescued by Animal Control, and are taken it to an animal shelter. However, many shelters have not had the space to keep the animals so the workers would have to put them down (Carol Roach). Researchers have shown that the main animals getting abused are dogs, chickens, horses, and livestock (“Animal...
This particular dog is used for dog sledding because it is strong, can run long distances and their bodies can withstand the bitter cold weather. In addition, the Husky is used for hunting and as a watch dog. Huskies have keen senses, they can hunt well and can run fast. (Compton's)
Their names are Zeus and Hera and they are some of the kindest, goofiest dogs I have lived with. My dogs love to play and cuddle more than anything. They don’t bark at people walking past the house, or at other pets and animals when they go on their daily walks. To me it is absolutely ridiculous that these sweet dogs are hated so widely across the country because PEOPLE gave them a bad reputation. The Breed of American Pit Bull Terriers is considered a “fight dog” breed today because criminals use them for illegal affairs such as protecting drugs and dog fighting. Pit bulls are extremely tough dogs, but it is not in their nature to fight. Fight dogs are beaten, abused, starved, and left in cages until they are sent to fight another dog. They are trained to act out this behavior that is not seen elsewhere. Humans train dogs to be viscous. There are rare cases where dogs are overly aggressive, however, in most of those instances the dog is a product of incest
The ugly truth is that animals are dying at the hands of their owners everyday, some in very violent ways that can be avoided given the right solution. Slaughterhouses, puppy mills, dog fighting, and so on, are just a few examples of how animals are being treated badly by people. Animal cruelty is a form of violence which, unfortunately, sometimes goes hand in hand with child abuse.... ... middle of paper ... ... Also, violence towards animals needs to be included in assessments for child protective services, in order to better prevent animals being placed in dangerous hands.
The african wild dog is a moderate sized dog that stands at about 29-43 inches and weighs 39-79 pounds (African Wild Dog 1) and lives in eastern and southern africa more specifically areas like Kruger, Hwange, Serengeti national park, Zimbabwe and Tanzania (Creel 1). There scientific name is Lycaon pictus which means painted wolf in latin. They get this name due to there very patterned and colorful coat which helps them to blend into the savannah they live in. The african wild dog eats mammals and does not scavenge because of conflict with lions and hyenas. They live in close knit social groups of about 2-27 adults and yearlings(Creel 1) with the oldest female being the dominant female while a male in his prime leads the pack. Contrary to the popular belief of the people of early colonial times the wild dog does not attack people and will only prey on unattended livestock because they try to avoid conflict with humans due to a docile nature. They hunt in large packs and use skill and strategy rather than brute strength or speed to take down targets that range fro...

What is a myth? There is such a vast amount of written material in the world that one could classify as myth, however, there are 5 essential features fabricated by anthropologist Robert Winzeler that help dictates whether or not a story is a myth. This essay’s goal is to analyze the story of Nyina Kigwa and to see whether or not Winzelers essential features apply to it. Winzeler's first essential feature is that a myth must be a story, not a statement of belief or doctrine. Secondly, myths must include personalities that vary in form, such as an animal, human, supernatural entities, and sometimes a combination of multiple features.
Many people who abuse animals do not realize that they are actually hurting animals, this is known as unintentional. When some people try to discipline their pets they use tactics that they think is acceptable, when in reality is probably not the best way. People also abuse animals due to lack of attention, such as forgetting to feed and water the animals for a number of days. A family may take the animals with them when they leave the house, and forget to leave a window down with the animal inside. One of the biggest unintentional ways of animal cruelty is a way that many people think is helpful but is actually has a negative impact on all of the animals involved, this idea is trying to take in more animals than one can handle, they have good intentions but this is harmful to animals because it forces them to live in unhealthy conditions. There are many new cases of animal hoarding every year, with over 250,000 animals falling victim. Puppy mills are large dog breeding’s that care more about making money than the wellbeing and health of the animals. Many dogs become ill with diseases such as kidney or heart disease as a result of the conditions in which they live.
