Where I go to find a great kebab, which with its green lands and stonewalls makes me feel right at home. Although every visit is usually short, with kids running, screaming and the parents right behind, sometimes it makes it difficult to be at peace and quiet at this place I call home. Lying at the northwestern point of the island of Puerto Rico, there is a Fort named Castillo San Felipe del Morro, otherwise El Morro for short. It was made to protect San Juan’s bay from enemies. In 1961 The US Army retired from el Morro and the Fort became part of the National Park Service. Upon arrival to San Juan, everyone can appreciate the beautiful landscapes, the open sea and mysterious surrounding areas that can catch the eye of the viewer. While people use the common grounds as a playground for kids of all ages, others use it as an escape, for me as my time for peace and tranquility for my next task in life to come. Moving my feet to this amazing feel of tranquility, I can smell the sea in the air, the salty mist that fills your lungs with new hope, the vendors in the alleys and corners with kebabs and all the Puerto Rican cuisine you can imagine in these small but efficient food trucks. My belly rumbling and my thoughts dispersed, following along the stone path with gold inserts, I look up at the sky and with a glance at the right direction with a flash hundreds of kites in the air, twisting, turning, going all around like a crazy show, focusing on where I want to go, children run, scream and shout and I can think to myself on what to do, with so much commotion it is difficult for anyone to think inside their inner self and have a moment of
