Smiling shyly, I removed my hand from his hold, putting some distance between us. "That is so sweet of you Philip, but I will be OK." Reaching for my hand again, he placed a business card on it. "If you don 't want me to escort you out at least take my card. My cell phone number is written on the back. Call me when you get home. I like to know you made it home safely." I placed his card in my clutch and thank him for a wonderful time. "See you around, Isabel." He simply said, before going back to his seat. Lowering my head, I disappeared into the women’s restroom. After I did my business, I washed my hands and began to freshen up my makeup. Suddenly, I watched Rebecca appeared out of a cubicle, but I refused to acknowledge her presence. The night was getting better by the minute. "Hello, Isabel. You look ... nice." She said impolitely. "Thanks Rebecca. So do you. Now if you excuse me." Exiting the restroom quickly, I felt Rebecca’s gripped immediately, She grabbed my elbow, stopping me by the door and successfully blocking my way. Her smile was cynical, but I was too tired to allow her to draw me into a confrontation. "I broke my engagement after running into you and Brian back in DC. I realized I could not marry Jeremy when I’m still so in love with Brian. I am not letting him get away this time and I will appreciate greatly if you stay away from him. I am not going to let you get between us. This time I will fight for us." Irritated, I responded. "Rebecca, he is all yours. Make sure to remind him of that. I am not the one pursuing him. Now if you excuse me." Walking toward the exit, I found Brian and Philip having a very heated discussion. The moment Brian spotted me, he moved toward me,... ... middle of paper ... ...behave like a Neanderthal. Bending down, he picked me up, pulled me over his shoulder and carried me to my bedroom while I complained to no avail. I knew I should have said something to stop him, after all, I was still angry, but without effort, he emptied my mind and replaced my thoughts with memories of our past. I loved him. Consumed by his scent, my defenses failed me. I can resist him anymore. His caresses comforted me at a deeper level, I could not explain. After he removed my robe, he lifted me and threw me on my bed. Sitting beside me, he began to take his shoes and socks off. Lowering his pants and boxer shorts to his knees, he turned toward me, hastily ripping open his shirt. He grabbed my face with both hands, staring deeply into my eyes. "When are you going to get it through your head that you are mine? You will always be mine.”
