The hardest times in your life drown you in pain and desperation, how can any good come of them? As Gilda Radner Said "I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity." Poetry and music both connections amongst each other, that make each other almost identical. Musicians use poetry to write their songs and sometimes write a poetic song first without the lyrics, then add music in it to finalize the song. Both are two different but the same style of literature. The poem “Promises like Pie-Crust” has two versions to it, the poem itself and the song version, but both are almost identical.
Mistakes are made by everyone whether it be because of confusion, lack of correct information, or just an accident. Mistakes are what make us human because we can't be perfect
Nobody is perfect. Some people have insignificant shortcomings that would not affect their life; but others have major flaws, which might cause big issues.
Failure leads to disappointments but sometimes it can result in great lessons and successes. People can go through hard times, but if they stick it out and see it through, the failures and hard times can lead to success. This happened to me recently involving soccer. It was our second game of the high school season, and we were playing Northeastern. I had started the game and after the national anthem and the announcing of our names, the game whistle had blown, singling the start of the game. The first half went by slow it seemed to never end. With the end of the first half we were tied 0-0. The halftime talk was not very positive, understandably, considering we weren't playing well. Then the whistles blew again and we took the field to start
Sometimes you need to 'stop and smell the roses,' as the saying goes, and just enjoy life as it comes at you. And life does indeed come at you, with its ups and downs, but perhaps a particular low is needed in order to appreciate the normal. But high points make themselves known easily, announcing themselves with imprints on the mind, memories.
Overcoming adversity is imperative. In fact, you can 't have the happiness and success you want unless you have adversity in your life and overcome it. It is essential for progressing into who you want to be. It shows you what you are made of. It teaches you more about yourself, how to approach what you want, and how to maintain the success that you have. Without it, you wouldn 't know how far you could go or how capable you are because you wouldn 't have anything to push you or compare to.
“Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents which in prosperous circumstances would have lain dormant” says the Roman poet Horace. Basically what he is saying is that facing hardships can play a role in developing one’s character. Although the process of adversity might not be pleasurable in the moment, I believe that whenever one experiences adversity, it will always leave them better off than before.
Nobody is perfect and as we move forward in this era of self-knowledge and self-discovery, it is vital to acquire the ability to recognize our own mistakes. We all do some mistakes at some point of our lives which hurt another person. The difference lies acknowledging that we have done something wrong, some acknowledge immediately and some take time.
Everyone in life experiences failure. It can affect people positively or negatively and that all depends on how they react to the experience. If one lets their failure overcome their dreams, it will lead them in the wrong path. But if one views their failures as a motive to succeed and grow, then they are on their way to becoming successful. For me, I let my failures in life help build onto my character and define the person I am today. My childhood injury is my example as I let this moment affect the outcome of my dreams I had then.
disappointment. Everyone makes mistakes and learns from them. That 's the only way we know
It is very hard for people to accept their mistakes, but the hardest part is to correct them since no one is perfect and it might take some time as well. Some people think they are too perfect in life; unfortunately, I am one of those who believe it. However, thinking that I am a perfect person does not make any harm to people, but, when I come back to reality and see things around me from a different point of view, I realize that are my bad habits the ones hurting my family and friends. Therefore, being always late, being lazy, and drinking heavily has marked my family and friends deeply, causing on me a bad reputation and a bad person in life.
Life is not going to go that we want it to, but this fact should not keep us from overcoming fears or conquering any hardships. Family, fear, and a positive attitude can keep us going and assist us in triumphing over crosses that we might bare.
Because of what I learned from hitting this “hurdle” in life, I have decided to make the most out of the life I have been given. Overcoming the adversity of losing a loved one has not only challenged me, but has given me a perspective and wisdom that most people are only able to learn through challenges like this one. Life is unpredictable. Like hurdles, life evokes fear, strength, and courage. Life is often like a race, everyone is forced to face their own obstacles, however, like Nelson Mandela once said, “Our greatest glory lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” Throughout life, everyone is bound to face their own set of hurdles, however, the important part is learning to get up, keep moving, and apply what was learned from the experience to overcoming the next
People don't truly accept life for what it is until they've actually tasted adversity and went through those misfortunes and suffering. We are put through many hardships in life, and we learn to understand and deal with those issues along the way. We find that life isn't just about finding one's self, but about creating and learning from our experiences and background. Adversity shapes what we are and who we become as individuals. Yann Martel's Life of Pi shows us that adverse situations help shape a person's identity and play a significant role in one's lief by determining one's capabilities and potential, shaping one's beliefs and values, and defining the importance and meaning of one's self.
Viktor Frankl said, “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing; the last of the human freedoms to choose one’s attitude in any given circumstance, to choose one’s way.” I support this quote because if something doesn’t go the way you want it you could either look at the bright and spirited part of it, and make things better, or look at the dull and awful part of it, and make things worse. If it were me I would always try to look at the bright part of it, especially since you are the one who chooses your own perception and outlook on life. That is why you should think of it like this; do you want your perception on life to be tremendous and wonderful or dreadful and horrific.
