It can be a feeling, a cause or an effect. It’s something that we all want from everyone. It can be from your family, friends, boyfriend/girlfriend etc. Just being able to trust yourself and other can mean so many things. According to google, trust is “firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.” In reality the word “trust” itself can have 1,000 meanings. I personally think trust means being able to count on someone, tell your deepest secrets to and confide on them. There are different kinds of trust. In this paper, I will write what trust means in friends, in your partner and in your family. Growing up I was very shy. I didn’t know how to make friends and if I had some I didn’t know if I could trust them. It’s always a good idea to have really close friends, also known as “best friends”. I met my best friend when I was five years old. I technically grew up with her. We went to the same school through the whole years. She was the kind of friend I could always count on. When it comes to relationships trust is a big part of it. Meeting that person very well takes time but you trust them since the beginning by simply giving them your heart, not literally. During a relationship you experience the good and the bad. The trust will grow as the relationship grows. It is when the hard times come when you confide on that person on not giving up, on lifting you up when you’re down. Another big part of trust in a relationship is commitment. With commitment comes trust, we trust the other person on being committed to the relationship. Sticking to you and only you, being there for you.
