Most of my family is back in Australia where I came from. I have lots of family there. Family means alot to me and even if get in fights or arguments we still grit through it because family comes first before anything else. Everyone in the world has a family, some people may not like or get along with their family due to problems. If people don't respect their family's that is really bad because they brought us here so maybe later in life they might regret it. Family can't be forced if you don't want to get along with them. People who don't value tree family as I said earlier would later on regret it when members pass on. My value is a bit different lik others (justice money fame etc) My definition has value because everyone has family. It affects A LOT of people because some people are homeless and they don't have a family or maybe there family rejected then at birth and they got adopted into a new family so it is affect people a lot. Family could be cousins. Mom aunties etc but some people don't even have that due to being homeless or maybe getting into
What is a family? People you’re related to? People you live with? According to Webster.com, it is a combination of those things. However, this definition could vary depending on who you ask. The meaning of family has changed over the years. Divorce and remarriage, single families, same-sex marriage, new family roles, and technology are just a few factors that have changed the way we interpret and define of family.
Family, the word itself brings images of love, comfort, and peace in mind. The foundation of the family is based on structure, care, and dependence. It is a combination of individuals striving to understand and love one another unconditionally. Sharing the same blood is no longer a requirement to be considered a family. In fact, the definition of family is evolving like never before. With most marriages ending in divorce, the majority of children will be reared in "nontraditional" families ( single parent, step-parent, etc.). It seems that now the only thing you need in order to be a functional family is love and trust, which can be found anywhere from a close friend to a pet.
Family is a subjective construct that has more positive outcomes when individuals choose it for themselves. Those that choose only biological families may find themselves all alone when they lose relatives, not everyone has blood relatives, and those that do have family may find themselves in
Family is important in every culture, it shapes people and makes them who they are.
Families are the most important aspect of life, without a family to call your own is a shame. A family gives everyone their own specific click and people who will always care about them. According to McCornack (2013) a family is define as a network of people who share their lives over long periods of time and are bound by marriage, blood, or commitment; who consider themselves as family; and who share a significant history and anticipated future of functioning in a family relationship. From this definition of family, the person that fits the build of family the most to me is a brother. I personally have a brother and it is one of the greatest blessings on Earth. Family has major impacts on our lives. From the moment you were born, your family has taught you right from wrong. We get our religion, values, gender roles, language, and habits from our families. We get our status in society through your family’s connection and wealth which later can determine one’s job opportunities in life. Although we grow up and start to develop our own values and beliefs and opinions, the family values beliefs and opinion that were instilled in you since you were little never really go away.
Families play an important role in shaping individuals and through them it also shapes the whole society. But what does the term traditional family mean and who decides what constitutes a traditional family? According to Merriam-Webster (2011), the definition of a nuclear or traditional family means “a family group that consists only of father, mother, and children”.
The word “family” is unique, special, and controversial among different cultures and ethnicities. As defined by Random House Western Dictionary, a family is “any group of persons closely related by blood, as parents, children, uncles, aunts, and cousins” (Dictionary.com). Although the definition from Random House follows the infamous proverb of, “blood is thicker than water,” my definition of family does not. Family is not defined or restricted by blood relations. In my mind, a family is simply a group of people, who loves, supports, and helps each other unconditionally, and endlessly. Regardless of one’s sexual orientation or preference, all families embody these common principles. Thus, a family unites its members through the strong bonds and kinships formed when people come together. (Great intro.)
Family, a group consisting of parents and children living together in a household. Although family is a concretely defined term, the idea of family varies from person to person. But, what makes a family? For those who are surrounded by loving blood relatives, for those who have never known the one to grant them life, for those who have left their blood behind for a more loving and nurturing environment, what can commonly define a family? Family is something defined by the individual. Family includes those who you have come to love, whether platonically or romantically, those you have suffered with, those you have come to respect, and most importantly those you have cared for and in turn have cared for you. To one that could mean people who
When the word “family” is discussed most people think of mothers, fathers, and other siblings. Some people think of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and even cousins and more on the pedigree tree. Without family in people 's lives they would not be the same people that they grew up to be today and in the future. When people hear the word family they think about, the ones who will help them in any way they can whether it 's money, support, advice, or anything to help them succeed in life. Family will forever be the backbone of support. They are the ones who support their children during those life decisions. Family is not always blood related. Finally family is forever, family will never go away.
Out of the numerous commodities and resources that are scarce on the planet in which we inhabit a family, or even a family system, can never be parallel to even an iota of them. This is due to the fact that everyone, no matter what age at what time period of their life, has a family. That family may not be the cookie cutter family that society imposes on the media world. People develop without knowing their family, people create new families of their own, or they can even find something or someone to call family because of this family will never be scarce. Family is an objective concept to every single person and the definition varies significantly from being as simple as the smallest of toys to as complex as a group of people interconnected

There may be times where no one is there for you, your friends betray you in some way, and the only one that will be waiting with open arms are you family. It is very important to always cherish and appreciate the love, comfort, help, and attention that your family offers you because if you don’t, you may just end up regretting it in the end. A family does not necessarily have to be considered blood. If you have close friends that you see as a brother or sister because of their loyalty to you and the way they treat you, they are considered family. A family will always bring peace, love, and happiness, and though there may be times that you bump heads with your family members, you always run back to each other and speak as if everything is perfectly

My family fits perfectly into the definition of what a family is. My family is a nuclear family; I have a mother, father and
Family is defined by the text as “two or more persons living together and linked for financial or emotional support” (Barbour, Barbour & Scully, 2011). For my purposes family is defined as those with whom I maintain a close bond, whether or not they live with me. For example, I have a brother, who might be defined as :family” as we were raised in the same house, but I also have friends that I consider “family” based on emotional support I derive from their friendship.
