The term success can be used in a variety of connotations. Success is an arbitrary word, viewed, achieved, and judged differently by many people, groups and organizations. Success is set by what goals you give yourself and then later in life achieve. Everyone has different ambitions that once accomplished, may make them successful. Most people work hard throughout their whole life to achieve the things they desire and refer to that as being successful. Success is not only measured with material goods, but is rather tied to broader concepts such as wealth, happiness, and achievement.
In today's society, people often believe that the only way to be successful is by being wealthy. For instance, some people feel that if they reach a certain income level, they will finally be successful. Money is so essential to everyday life so most think the more of it they have, the easier life will be. In this case, someone’s success is based off their wealth because people are materialistic and view money as a level of successfulness. For example Bill Gates, the creator of Microsoft, dropped out of college, which to some people, the thought that he may become unsuccessful would be present in their minds. However, he proved them wrong and now is making millions upon millions of dollars and has a networth of

Happiness for most people is a strong, healthy, and loving family. If this is someone’s definition of success, than their family is what defines their success. For some, this success might mean trying new things and a lifestyle that supports it. If you can look at the things you have and things you personally have accomplished and feel happy with no regrets, then you would be considered successful. However, if you look back and realize you could have done more and feel a certain disappointment, you would not be considered successful. Success is directly proportionate to happiness. Without it, there cannot be
Success can be an extremely broad subject. There is an abounding amount of different views on what the “true” definition of success is. Personally, I believe that success is finding happiness. Success is waking up in the morning and not having to worry about whether or not the bills are going to be paid this month. Success is having a job that you enjoy going to every day. Success is having friends and family who love and support you. Success does not mean that one has to be exceedingly rich or have a lakeside mansion. As long as they are happy, they have succeeded in life.
Success is not earning a fat juicy check at the end of each month, or being a part of a large social group filled with fraudulent people that appear as familiar faces. But it is a person discovering him or herself after they had been lost and establishing a sense of purpose that makes them fills them with a warm glowing sense of accomplishment. Success does not have one transparent definition, it has various meanings depending on what success means to the individual trying to achieve it. Success is surviving.
One thing that everyone wants is success. Success is something anyone can achieve, if they put their best effort into it. Success is one of the most critical elements to so many events throughout someone’s lifetime. Although it may sound so simple to obtain, it can actually be difficult. The reason that it could be hard, is the fact that there are so many components to find success.

Success means to live a life in alignment with what brings us real joy. In my case, “success-joy” comes in many guises. At times, in being persistent with my current dreams, others, investing time and energy in what makes my life shine, and that is, without a doubt, when my life is at service of humanity and when I cultivate happy and healthy close relationships. I tend to define success as a state of being, a constant process of unfolding rather than a place to arrive. It is the journey of getting to know ourselves, in order to fully occupy every aspect of what we are; a forever changing aspiration, a state of being in which we realize that life’s greatest rewards spring from our capacity to relate to adversity in innovative ways. I have also discovered that real success shows up again when we debunk and deconstruct every single stereotype and assumption we have about ourselves. In this way, we feel capable to challenge what is commonly accepted as wisdom and then we have the opportunity to change and integrate our values with greater ones. There is an enormous joy when we feel free to play with the possible new scenarios that our imagination and creativity compelled us to try. A successful state of being is alert and grounded within us with the certainty, that the choices we embark on are in resonance with what we consider is the truth of what we are in that precise
Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of ones life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and make lots of money. But success takes many different forms. Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. For some, success is measured by social status and wealth; for others success is determined only by the amount of happiness one feels.
Everyone has their own goals, and dreams in life. For some people, as little as graduating high school can be a big accomplishment for them, to others it may not seem as important. Some people spend their whole life trying to make as much money as they can because that is all they care about. For some reason people believe that you have to have money in order to be successful. According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, success means, “the fact of getting, or achieving wealth, respect, or fame.”
Successful is a simple word, however, the meaning of this word changes quite often. Each person has a different definition of success and that definition can change depending on the situation. Bob Dylan once wrote, “A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night and in between does what he wants to do.” This a very broad definition of success and should not be used. The definition of success should be “the pursued goals have been adequately accomplished.”
Success only truly comes with being happy. Happiness and success are the accomplices of one another. Someone cannot have accompanies without the other. Happiness brings success, and success brings even more happiness. Success, in the dictionary, is defined as the achievement of something desired planned or attempted. Therefore, success cannot be judged by anyone than oneself. It is a personal thing. It is the realization of goals, desires or plans made by one 's self. It is not measurable and yet is something we always use to compare others or appraise someone 's worth. Success, in one form or another, is something that someone should always be striving for. For some people it is something they will do subconsciously, and for others it will be something they will constantly labor for. Because success is something that is different for everyone, it is best that they measure their personal success by their sense of self worth instead of others. To have succeeded is to have lived, as someone wanted; ' it is to have lived well and laughed
People are happy not because they are successful. They are successful because they are always happy and find what they love to do. So Happiness and success are all about passing our life in our own way. But life doesn't always get exactly, what we want. Our expectation is huge in our life. But nothing will change in the world if I have lots of money, doing a better job or have a luxury car. It may bring external happiness in my life for a few days, but not internal for long days.
It is quite obvious what current society associates with success: material wealth and high status. This perspective is seemingly obvious since having lots of money simply makes it easier to live. Rather than spending time worrying over missed payments and meeting deadlines for jobs, having money readily available makes it easier to enjoy oneself in times of leisure. Although high status has no monetary price tag, being of high status opens many doors. Along with this, high status, usually attained with money, also plays a part in making life a lot more easier and enjoyable.
It’s often argued that wealth equates success because it indicates a well-paying job, but does that truly matter? If the job is despised by the employee, than he or she isn’t going to feel successful. Wealth is but a measure of success, not actual success. Being successful is more about feeling successful than it is about external matters. True success is feeling happy with all that one has. True success is different for everyone because different things make people happy. Someone may be content working at Starbucks, while another may be overjoyed at the thought of running a business. Success isn’t something that can be measured by something as standard as money. It’s an
The true definition of success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. Although, many people have different perceptions of success. Success is judged by the individuals themselves. Success may be defined in many ways by many people. According to Oxford English Dictionary, it is, “the prosperous achievement of something attempted.”(“Success”). That is, if one achieve his/her desire or goals, it would be considered as his/her success. But it is true that the definition and explanation varies according to the eye of beholder. Generally, Success means fulfilling the goals that you set for your life. For some, success may be money, big house and a luxury car. However, for others, success may be the happiness they feel after achieving their goal. I personally feel, success is not what is accomplished, but what is felt from
Success takes many different definitions. People have different interpretations of what success really means. For me is as simple as: living well and laughing often. The idea of living well is a very broad statement. Living well, in my opinion is getting success in personal, social and professional life. If I can achieve all of these three levels of success, I believe that I have lived well.
