Recommended: What makes a hero definition
The definition of a hero is someone who is inspiring and wants to maIn my opinion a hero is someone who cares for people and does things for other people, or is someone who is courageous and puts themselves out of their comfort zone to help others. To me I think everyone should have someone they look up to or admire (hero) because I think that will encourage them to get out of their own comfort zone and do good things for themselves and eventually for other people.
My hero is a young woman that I admire. As a versatile actress she is someone who has the power to bring a smile to people's faces even if they are upset. She strongly believes in choosing strong female roles to play in the movies that she is involved in, having the strength and confidence to turn down movies that she does not value. She has been known to regularly give money to people less fortunate than herself and recently impressed the world with a speech to the United Nations in support of feminism. The thing that first inspired me was when she played Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, a role which I believe teaches young people to admire intelligence and loyalty in girls rather than just needing to look good to be admired. If you

haven't guessed by now, my hero is Emma Watson Emma Watson is a 26 year old female actor.
Both her parents are British lawyers so she grew up talking with them about world issues which explains why she is really good at getting her opinion about feminism or other issues across to others in a sense that she is right. Her favourite subjects in school were art, theatre, history and english. When she was older she went to a US higher education institution When she was asked why she chose a US higher education institution and not a British one, she said its because the American system allows students to study many subjects at once. Emma has advised her hero to be Natalie Portman and Renee Zellwenger because of their willingness to take on challenging roles in films, even if they are not typically beautiful
characters. I think that Emma Watson is very talented and I can't think of any better hero that would inspire people, can you? The reason why I think Emma Watson should classify as everyone's hero is because she has played many different rolls in different things such as she was the U.N goodwill ambassador, She got this roll by her campaigning that caught the eye of the U.N and they appointed her as their Goodwill Ambassador to promote women’s rights around the world she has also helped clear the negative stigmas associated with the term 'feminist,' and that too with perfection. Because being one global ambassador just isn’t enough for Emma, she raised an International campaign for education for women in rural Africa. One of the quotes Emma has written that I admire would be "Young girls are told you have to be a delicate princess. Hermione taught them that you can be a warrior." This just shows why Emma Watson is my hero and is also to many other people around the world.
Assignment details: Analyze the components of the hero’s journey. Basically, support the argument that Jaws follows the epic hero cycle. Name specific examples from the movie and connect them to the hero’s journey. However, this is not a plot summary. You are not retelling the story, but selecting examples to support the analysis.
A person who overcomes antagonistic and unnecessary issues in a mature and powering manor. That is the definition of a hero to me. Someone who is being hurt and sees others hurt from the actions and takes charge and does everything in his power to change it. Someone who puts others before themselves and acts in the most chivalrous way. The definition of a hero is different for everyone. Some one might think of a hero as someone who can lift a car and put it on their back, or gives a dying person their kidney. Yes all of those people are forms of hero’s. You can’t tell someone that they are not a hero just because they don’t change into a disguise in a telephone both or can throw lightning bolts from a cloud. Everyone is a hero in their own way.
A hero is defined as "someone admired for his bravery, great deeds or noble qualities". There are three categories to which all heroes can be classified into, one of which is the anti-hero genre.
A hero is someone who invests their time helping others rather than themselves. They are always conscious of their surroundings and environment. Heroes help their enemies and friends regardless of the circumstances. A hero is also someone who is humble and knows when to be protective of others and themselves. Heroes are people who acknowledge flaws, and fix mistakes, those were my own definition of a hero. In “Undocumented Immigrant”, Jose Antonio Vargas tells the truth about his illegal status in the United States. Not only was he an immigrant in the United States, he was his own hero. Vargas proved that he is a hero through code switching, bravery and honesty.
A hero is a man of courage and ability who is admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. A hero is a person who does not come along very often in any time period. He is a special person, who is a step above the average person in the way that he handles any situation that may arise.
In my opinion, a hero is someone whose principal purpose, whether it be in one situation or over the span of their entire life, is to help others while simultaneously making the world a better place. When the word hero is brought up, the most prevailing image that comes to mind is superheroes like Batman and Superman. But I don’t think you have to have superpowers or even be well known in order to be a hero. There are people all over the world whose intention is to do selfless deeds and go out of their way for others without expectation of obtaining anything in return. These are the type of people I like to consider everyday heroes. They go through life just trying to be the best they can and trying to help as many people as they can. Whether
“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles” (Christopher Reeves). In other words a hero can be anyone that is determined and helps other people. A hero is someone who can face challenges with determination, who can persevere or exceed beyond expectation, but is not always buff, or strong.
Some definitions of heroes are people, who have noble qualities, and put the lives of others before their own life. They are expected to be reasonable and calm, during scary times, like when a shooting is going on, looking out for
What makes a hero? To me a hero is a person that does whatever is necessary to protect the people they’re serving or protecting. In the dictionary it says a hero is “a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.”
1.1 Introduction A redefinition of a female hero should be put in order to separate them from the traditional male and female heroes. By analyzing Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles, it is possible that Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey can be adapted for a female hero. Other than completing the quests that are laid out before her, a female hero also has to face dilemmas that females in a patriarchal society can relate to. Such issues mold a female hero to undergo the transformation of an unconfident, regular girl to someone who is successful and respected by others, putting her on equal standing with man.
A hero could be anyone. A hero could be an ordinary person who has impacted someone or has inspired a change toward greatness in their life. A hero can be passive or active, famous or ordinary, rich or poor. What gives a hero a distinct similarities to other heroes and distinguish them from non heroes is their ability to influence others that they are extraordinary because of their means to overcome obstacles, defeated adversities, and still manage to be a leader, role model, or an admirable person within society.
Throughout the years and to all different walks on the face of the earth, heroes exist with various meanings to each individual. It is extremely hard to put one definition to this word. What one may see as a hero, another may not. Some definitions include, a brave man, a superman, a champion, a conqueror, a victor, and a winner. This definition though varies through diverse people's eyes. A serial killer may view Charles Manson as his/her hero, while others may view someone who has favorable traits as their hero (in a good sense). It is all relevant to who people are, their identities, and whom they relate to.
Romance, drama, horror, comedy, and more but above all are the epics. In many cultures stories have been shared over and over again, and eventually a man named Joseph Campbell began to look at these tails and myths. As he went over these different tails he noticed a pattern that would then be developed into what is known as “The Hero’s Journey.” After looking at three different cultures stories it seems that “The Hero’s Journey” is indeed a pattern that appears in stories from across the world, but further then that is how different cultures all used stories to teach other valuable lessons. Some of the main cultures of storytelling Greek, Norse, and Hindu can be analyzed for their relationship though Campbell’s theory while
What is a hero? That is the question that has many different answers depending on who you ask. There are some pretty popular answers to that question. One of those answers is; “A hero is someone who helps other people, or helps to make other people's lives better.” Another is; “A hero is a person who tries to make the world a better place.” or “A hero is a person who does something that is more than what is expected.” Still others are “A hero is someone that doesn't do something for his or her own problems but for the benefit of others” and “A hero is a person that doesn't want to be a hero just to be famous.” Those were just some statements about what people think a hero is, but what about the qualities a hero should have?
Joseph Campbell, the creator of the Hero’s Journey, stated in his book, The Hero With a Thousand Faces, "A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man” (Campbell 30). The idea of the Hero’s Journey that Campbell described is evident in Odysseus’s journey, since he leaves his home to go off into the world of unknown and returns with his elixir or newfound knowledge. Through his travels and experiences, Odysseus undertakes difficult tasks, must survive without support from his family, and is able to grow as an individual. “Ulysses” by
