Book Report-Deception Point
The plot is about a new NASA satellite detecting a rare object buried deep
beneath the Arctic ice. The finding, a 300 years old meteorite with fossil, is made public during the presidential elections and this is a devastating blow for Senator Sexton who has been criticising NASA for errors throughout the campaign. The president sends Rachel Sexton ,a White House intelligence analyst and daughter to senator Sexton , along with four other ordinary scientists and a team of highly ranked NASA scientists up to the Arctic to verify and confirm the authenticity of the finding.
Soon they uncover evidence of a fraud after a scientist is found dead under strange circumstances but before Rachel can get in contact with the president she realizes along with the others that this kind of knowledge will put them in a very dangerous situation and also the president in a very difficult position if he announces the news to the world.
Fleeing for their lives throughout the Arctic environment they will find out, what would be devastating news for the president and NASA and plunge the world into controversy, the evidences pointing at the biggest scientific fraud ever. Their only hope for survival now is to find out who is behind this plot and why; for what purpose, and fight for their lives against those who wants to see them dead.
The findings in this book could easily be compared to real findings, throughout history we have been looking at finding proof for existence of life out in the universe and we have found several meteorites throughout times. Though they are not as significant as the discovery in the book where they are found during presidential elections and with fossils on it, but today when people are looking in space and saying our future lies there; reading the book has made everything just more interesting and exciting. "If this discovery is confirmed, it will surely be one of the most stunning insights into our universe that science has ever uncovered. Its implications are as far-reaching and awe-inspiring as can be imagined. Even as it promises answer to some of our oldest questions, it poses still others even more fundamental"
The language of this book can sometimes be difficult when the author uses scientific or high tech terms, or certain words that you are not usually used to, but otherwise this book is easily read by people in my own age.
Rachel Marsh falls in love with the young Matthew Kilroy and continues to help him even after he is sent to jail for murder. She wants the people she works for, John Adams, to help him and 8 other soldiers out of jail, but that would ruin his career. In the end John Adams does help the soldiers, but two of them including Matthew are accused of manslaughter. Matthew is shipped back to England. Also Rachel is reinstated to another family for John Adams and his family are going back to Braintree.
As we progress though the novel, we a introduced to a variety of characters in the story like Rachel Turner
Presumably, complications start to revolve around the protagonist family. Additionally, readers learn that Rachel mother Nella left her biological father for another man who is abusive and arrogant. After,
Maxine finds out that she is not invited to a meeting that the president is having and she gets upset because she should be at that meeting. When she gets to the meeting people are shocked to see her there because they know that the President did not invite her. When the President sees her he is shocked too and then Maxine starts to talk about the problems there are in the country at the time. Nowadays, it is a very dangerous and risky adventure to take a ship to the Northern Sea. We are so advanced in technology, but still no one wants to risk their lives. The captain and his crew were traveling during the navigation season, but they were facing fog and icebergs on their way. They were stuck in ice and mist for a whole day. Finally, around two o?clock the fog and mist was gone and they could only see the endless ice surrounding them.
On the whole, the article is well-organized, and logical. Despite the abundance of unconfirmed statements, the alleged consequences of many of the events listed are believable. The article would be significantly more believable if there was a balance of arguments, of if the arguments listed were less disputable. The article should be considered a working, even persuasive, theory, rather absolute
... highly equipped technology that humans do not have yet, while others insist these are just one of many hoaxes. Believing these are made by aliens will impact greatly on current society because the biggest religion in the world will be proved wrong. Some even say it is impossible for aliens to exist, but we must leave both options open, since we can never predict the future. Even a few hundred years ago, humans thought the earth was flat. Then we found out the earth is not the center of the universe. Recently, we can now travel to other stars and only collect samples. Because we know not even 1% about the universe, I think anything can be possible. Just a week ago, a news released that Vaticans are holding a conference for possible alien beings(fox). Maybe, we humans are just getting adopted to accept other intelligent beings as planned by unknown sources.

. At the town of Roswell an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) crash landed in the quiet little town. Many Roswell residents testified that they saw a burning object plummet toward the ground before exploding upon impact. The Air Force's initial reaction to the incident was to tell the world that they did not know what it was. This shows me evidence that they had no “protocol” for this kind of occurrence, thus the Military leader stepped in and covered everything up. This incident caught the attention of citizens of the United States, local officials, and the media. It has especially gained interest in a variety of Special interest groups/ groups that specialize in researching and investigating events that involve UFO’s.

Rachel Verinder’s hostility toward the investigation and indifference toward those who are helping her, help her role in the novel as one of the major suspects in the mystery of the missing Moonstone. After news of the Moonstone’s disappearance spreads, Rachel immediately locks herself in her room
This isn't technically a book that I read when I was in the properly defined age
Overall we can get a pretty good insight on how or Solar System was formed, yes there are still certain aspects of it that are hard to make sense of, as well as debates over which theory is correct, such as Core Accretion vs. Disk Instability, but overall I feel it is pretty amazing what we have learned about the nature of system and look forward to future discoveries.

The two plays deal with similar issues of deception and hypocrisy present in the society and how people wear masks in order to conform to the social norms of their respective societies. Both the authors, Henrik Ibsen and Moliere have made effective use of ‘deception’ in order to bring their ideas and views through to their audience.’ Ghosts’ is a perfect example of a realistic play which attacks the hypocrisy present in the society and in its value systems. Ibsen therefore was known as the father of modern theatre. Tartuffe was written by Moliere in the age of reason. During this period writers usually wrote in a common genre which was known as the comedy of manners. As a form of satire, the genre of comedy was aimed at ridiculing human vices and follies in order to bring about a change in the society.
