The justice system in many countries allow the law to have death penalty. If the death penalty should be abolished or not has been an argument between a lot of people. Some people don’t agree that death penalty should be abolished because they believe that the delinquent will try to escape from prison and commit more crimes, but in reality death penalty should definitely be abolished. Sure death penalty can prevent the prisoners from committing more crimes such as murder, but we are punishing them from killing someone else, yet we are doing the exact thing. Against Death Penalty states that death penalty does not deter crime effectively. The General Assembly of the United Nations stated “ There is no conclusive evidence of the deterrent value of the death penalty” (“Against Death Penalty). It also states that the random application of death penalty can never be ruled out. “The death penalty is often used in a disporpotional manner against the poor, minorities and members of racial, ethnic, political and religious groups” (“Against Death Penalty”).

In reality no one deserves to die. Life is too valuable and no matter what the person did, he/she does not deserve to die. There are people who don’t want death penalty to be abolished, but shown in the research, death penalty costs millions of dollars each year, the way the prisoners are executed is cruel and innocent people are executed as well. Clayton Lockett died in a painful way due to the mixture if drugs a doctor sedated him and so did many others. There were executions in Alabama, Texas and Florida in where there was no physical evidence that linked them to the crimes they “committed” and the police didn’t fully investigate the crime scene and after their exeution they found out that the prisoners could’ve been
