This week we have been talking about some home remodeling projects and the return on investment you get from them. So David, tell us more.
David:
On Wednesday we talked about remodeling the most used areas in the home. Well, unused or renewed spaces might not top the list of money-smart remodeling projects, but a basement makeover ($47,000-plus) can still command a 76 percent return. This is according to a 2004 survey by Remodeling magazine. A sunroom addition ($30,000-plus), which made the survey for the first time, might fetch a 71 percent return.

So it’s no surprise that your return on new glass is excellent, whether you’re contemplating a midrange window replacement (less than $10,000) at 85 percent or an upscale replacement ($15,000-plus) at 84 percent.
Mike:
Do you have any final tips on remodeling a home that would be helpful to our listeners?
David:
It is important to get it right when it comes to a remodel. Your return on your remodel will likely depend as much on how well it fits the period and scale of your house as how much it adds to its functionality.
Don’t go crazy! A final word of caution: To properly recoup all that sweat equity, keep one eye to your neighborhood. No matter how spectacular your results, don’t plan on pushing your home’s value beyond 25 percent of its current selling price; even in the best market, you probably won’t get it.
Best bet: If the market is lukewarm or you reside in a neighborhood with widely varied property values, set your sights just under the most expensive home on the block. That way, the showcase homes will tend to reinforce your potential asking price.

One of the most important Questions that people are dying to know, why didn't officer Rick French the first responding officer open the small door where JonBenet was found. Officer Rick French was the first officer on the scene, after Patsy Ramsey made that frantic 911 call to police a little after 6 a.m. After arriving at the scene one of the first discoveries made by officer French was the "Ransom note and later conducted a quick search of the house...in the basement, he came to a door secured with a wooden latch...according to reports he paused for a moment in front of the door but walked away" (Newsweek). At the time he felt that it was of no importance initially just wanting to check to see if there were any signs of forced entry by focusing

Upon renovating the quaint little house on the hill with my mom, my own feelings toward the house changed dramatically. Before the project took off, I hesitated to step foot inside the building. The odor and dim lighting made it difficult to envision a successful result, but once we finished I was tempted to move in myself. This is the goal. Taking on this second project, I’d do my best to make the house one I’d love to live in while not allowing myself to implement my personal style preferences. The result is a home both move-in ready and open for visitors.

$1.5 million dollars to possess a piece of land in Manhattan may seem like a vast ocean but if nuts and bolts are revealing in decreasing of price, then why wait for the sunrise, go for it today. As radio established itself as a primary source for information, it simultaneously grew to be the most popular entertainment medium in the country. Everyone on the home front gathered around the radio in his or her living room to listen to the music and programming offered. Radio served as a crucial element in boosting morale and improving the attitudes of the American public in times of war and chaos. As the war developed, there was an increasing demand for escapist entertainment.
I plan on meeting with Mr. Sell again on the 8th of March to explore these different options. Like most of Massachusetts, real estate prices have started to rise in this city. Savvy investors can find the right property before prices reach a peak. Once investors buy their property, they can use it to create a residential development, business or another investment option. Since vacant lots can be difficult to find, some investors also choose to keep their lot vacant and sell it for a higher price later on.
As a requirement in MMP111 Introduction to Property, this assignment will examine and value a residential home located in Altona North. The physical condition of the house will be evaluated, and after looking at the various factors likely to influence on the va...
