Main Issues and Challenges Facing Zicasso Travel
Current Issues and Challenges
Nevertheless, despite such accolades for Zicasso, there have been a number of challenges. One of the challenges facing the company was inconsistency in consumer experience. For instance, in Trip Advisor (2014) a consumer was promised high quality services but received poor services. The agent assigned to this customer proved to be considerably harder to deal with. The first complaint was that her feedback on Zicasso was never published despite reporting the complaint. This shows that the company only publishes positive messages and avoid negative messages. This means that the company has an inconsistent and flawed evaluation mechanism. Avoiding publication of consumer complain makes it easier for network companies to publish a flawed star rating since the negative ratings are never considered as part of consumer feedback. This approach beats the logic of having the rating system in place in the first place. If rating only considers positive rating, then the numbers of complaints evading Zicasso are numerous. Failure to address consumer issues gives a negative image to the company.
The next issue was a poor follow-up to confirm that the trip and all agents are available. Apparently, Roseanne’s experience was poor, especially following cancellation of a flight that had been booked seven months in advance. The agent had received an email notification 32 days prior to the actual travel date, but either failed to notify the customer or failed to read the email. This made the customer to become stranded and had to seek alternative ways to get to the final destination. It would be expected that Roseanne’s handler would receive an apology for that error but th...

I remember the change from using pen for essay papers in old times to computer-typing essay now in today makes a difference. Even for the business in today’s world, it is important. What I learned from TIM 302, Information Systems Technology, Professor Lawler had been talked about technological innovation had a great impact to travel agency, hotels, and restaurants. A lot of travel agency was shut down because lesser and lesser people would need someone to plan for their trip, buying flight tickets, or make hotel reservations because the internet makes this world simpler for the new generation, but the Baby Boomer and the Generation X, as what I talked about a generation will end, the business should keep in updated in order to survive in this industry. What I saw in the Air & Sea Travel Center, they do have the use of telephone for communication, they have shared various tour information, they have printer and fax. Although, the business website has various updated tour information, but online user is not able to book the tour through the website that they need to meet the Tour consultant in person in order to purchase the tour package. As social media becoming a tool to attracting new customer, Air & Sea Travel Center should improve social relationship with online users. When I look at the reviews on yelp.com, there are couple 1 or 2-star review about the business, I saw most of other organization would
One topic that came to mind while researching this paper was the Great Barrier Reef, which I had wanted to research for my presentation, but information was more abundant for the topic I did choose. The size of the reef and its tourist potential are great in their respective ways.
Ramada, like most mid-tier hotels, had become stagnant in customer service ratings. Management of Ramada Franchise Systems (RFS) knew that it was only a matter of time before ratings began to drop and true problems developed. RFS knew it was time to address the situation at hand. In doing so, RFS went to some of the leaders in customer service – Disney, Southwest Airlines, and Carlson Hospitality.
We asked those service providers who expressed dissatisfaction with any of the above program elements (a “6” or below on a scale from 0-10) why they were dissatisfied. We found little consensus among providers regrading issues they had with the above program elements. Among the fifteen providers who expressed dissatisfaction, areas of dissatisfaction mentioned included:

For the introduction, brief information regarding my purchase and the travel and tourism industry is presented. It was then followed by the explanation of the 2 chosen theories from two different chapters.
Film induced tourism has grown in every aspect around the globe whether its because of the curiosity of the people to indulge in this kind of tourism or just being a part of the artificial world. Then it comes to define film tourism many authors have different views, according to Hudson and Ritch (2006a), it is describe as people visiting places which are directly influenced by films to see the landscapes, building, places as it was shown on TV, advertisement or in cinema screen. In addition to the meaning above for film induced tourism, Riley & Van Doren, (1992) further added that people visiting these places may be overwhelm with the romantic gaze of the place, and feel emotionally attached to it and also with the focal points of the film such as actors and their attributes, where they used to live, themes, social patterns and so on. However this essay will also discuss the originality of film tourism and its implications towards the destination and how it effects the local culture and community.
On April 9, 2017, United Airlines faced an incident that quickly escalated into a public relations crisis. This was furthered intensified by a clumsy response to the incident that resulted in damage to credibility and reputation of the airline. Throughout the incident, there were several opportunities missed and mistakes made that contributed to the negative impact and reaction from the public. According to “Business Insider” (April 10, 2017), and “The New York Times” (April 10, 2017), United Express Flight 3411 had boarded all its passengers when gate agents were approached by a flight crew requiring transport. As the flight was fully booked, the gate agents attempted to solicit four volunteers to leave the plane in return for re-booking
The ratings, such as client ratings and PartiRank, I find a negative thing. Obviously nobody wants to end up at the bottom, certainly not in a world where your rating is everything. Consequently, people stay
Tourism is a typical activity of fashion that the public participate widely and it has grown in importance over recorded human history. Innumerable articles refer tourism as “the world’s largest industry”; policy-makers, analysts, and scholars often speak of the size of the tourism compared to that of other industries (Smith 2004: 26). These series of misleading statement, together with the mass media’s reports (out of context), make the idea that tourism is a single large industry branded into many people’s minds. However, in this essay I will demonstrate that it is a simplistic and misleading idea, which should be replaced by the plural term, “tourism industries”. Moreover, tourism is not the world’s largest industry, but largest service sector.
This essay is the respond to the Local Council Member who has wrong idea about a common archetype of adventure tourist. This misconception based on ignorance of current tourism industry, could potentially be a dangerous for local economy and development. The local authority must be well informed about present conditions with the tourism market, before they will make a far reaching decisions about the development direction in this industry. Currently, there are many organisations whose monitoring an international tourism business and this knowledge supposed to be good use for our common good.
For the past few decades other forms of tourism, also known as niche tourism, have been becoming more popular, particularly:
In the more economically developed countries (MEDCs), synonymous mainly with the industrialised countries of the northern hemisphere there, has been an explosion in the growth of leisure and tourism industry, which is now believed to be the worlds second largest industry in terms of money generated. In order to differentiate between leisure and tourism it should be recognised that leisure often involves activities enjoyed during an individual’s free time, whereas tourism commonly refers to organised touring undertaken on a commercial basis. Development in the two areas could be attributed to changing patterns in working lives within the last four decades. Generally, people now have more disposable wealth, work shorter hours, receive longer, paid annual leave, retire earlier and have greater personal mobility. In addition, according to Marshall & Wood (1995), the growth of the tourist industry per se can be associated, in part, with the concentration of capital; the emergence of diversified leisure based companies, sometimes within wider corporate conglomerates and often associated with particular airlines. Furthermore, the development of tourism can generate employment both directly, in jobs created in the hotels, restaurants etc, and indirectly, through expenditure on goods and services in the local area. Nevertheless, although the tourist industry is competitive, which essentially keeps down the cost of foreign travel, the success of tourism in any one area can be ‘influenced by weather, changing consumer tastes, demographics, economic cycles, government policy, not to mention international terrorism and other forms of conflict.’(1) Although such factors may have a detrimental affect on the economy of a popular tourist destination (or even tourism in general, in light of September 11th 2001), the consequence of tourism in general is often three fold: environmental, social and cultural, which in turn has prompted a search for new ‘friendly’ approaches that are less destructive.
