With the Trump Administration rapidly making one change after another, many programs are at risk for modification and possibly elimination. DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) qualifies undocumented immigrants to attain a work permit, be able to attend school, join the military, and nevertheless, work towards citizenship without having to leave America. DACA has made the American dream possible for immigrants and their contributions to society constantly bring various benefits to the U.S. economy. The removal of DACA would affect roughly 750,000 illegal immigrants that gradually continue to increase the education, employment, and economic systems we have established to this day.

Acquiring a degree, job, car, and other expenditures all support the U.S. revenue in ways citizens currently contribute to America. In "The New Americans : Economic, Demographic, and Fiscal Effects of Immigration" it written "At the most basic level, immigration increases the supply labor in the economy. More labor means more goods and services being produced, so that national output (GDP) rises" (Smith, Barry Edmonston 137). In a country where production and availability need to be in sync with the demand rates, it is crucial for undocumented immigrants to have access to DACA for society to access labor and consumption. Undocumented immigrants living through DACA are given the opportunity of an education, financial independence, and ultimately the citizenship to be an American. If DACA becomes an unacceptable form of temporary legal status, many will be forced to leave everything they have worked for behind.
