Introduction Health care service is a basic commodity that it is required by all the people within the society. Thus, it is the role of various stakeholders within the health sector to ensure that all the individuals access quality and affordable services. However, it has not been easy for all the people within the society especially the minority groups to access health services equally like the other groups around the globe. The minorities are the people who are perceived to have low influence on the matters affecting the affairs of their current society. For instance, in the United States, the minorities comprise of the Blacks, Latinos, foreigners as well as the people with disabilities and low-income earners. Due to the inability to influence the policies within the country, it has become difficult for the minority groups to achieve health services. Moreover, for the minorities to access healthcare, it will require a substantial amount of effort both from the government as well as private organizations. For instance, it is mandatory to have medical facilities in the locality of the minority groups so that they can easily access health care. The majority of the minority groups live in the slums or in the suburbs of the major towns which do not have quality health care facilities. Hence it becomes difficult for the minority groups to achieve access to health care services. Therefore, in order for the minority groups such as the individuals who are in the low-income groups to access healthcare more facilities need to be put in place. For instance, the setting up of more hospitals in the locality of the minority groups will make it possible them to access health care effectively.
