CAPM ASSIGNMENT-2 Q1. What is a difference between a critical task and critical path? Critical task are those tasks which cannot be delayed in any circumstance and there is 0 slack time between the tasks means that if one task is finished the next task immediate start without any delay. Critical path is the series of critical tasks Critical tasks in the critical path are linked by dependencies: One task has finished before start the next task. In the Gantt chart, critical tasks appear to red which helps to creating the critical path. Microsoft Project helps you map out the critical path. Q2. How does ms project calculate the critical path? Project defines critical tasks as those that have no slack. However, we can change when a task becomes critical. For example, we can make a task critical if it has one or two days of slack. This is helpful if you want to be alerted to tasks becoming critical when you still have a day. Microsoft project calculate critical path by starting and ending date. If there is slack between the tasks so ms project will not calculate the critical path. Cri...
The critical incident that I will be explaining about is regarding an eight-year-old girl currently a student at Victory Independent School District (VISD). This student wrote on her class journal that her uncle was touching her in her private parts when no one was watching. The teacher was so confused to what to do when he read Bianca’s journal, especially because he was wondering if it was appropriate for him to ask her questions about it. The teacher was concern that due to being a male that the student was going to feel uncomfortable if he were to ask her about what she had wrote in her journal. The teacher did know what to do and he was so confused because he was reading and grading the journals at home during the weekend. He continued reading Bianca’s journal and feeling more worried about his student's well being at home.
The story takes place in St. Andrew Valley, an ordinary town with not much in it. Jason and his friend look for snails sometimes, exploring rivers and basically anywhere with moisture. Jason attends Teen Power Outreach sessions held in the church basement every Thursday because his mom forces him to. He also goes to mass every Sunday at the Church of the Good Shepard. One day he has a revelation while under the water tower: water is life. After making a new religion centered around the water tower, he recruits disciples and eventually they go to the top, where things go badly. They swim in the reservoir and then Henry falls off and lands on the catwalk, breaking many bones. Afterwords they get arrested and Jason goes to jail for six hours until his dad bails him out. Henry goes to St. Theresa's Hospital. Near the end of the book, Jason and his friends go to the mall, where he gets hit in the head with a crutch, then hits his head on the floor and gets a mild concussion and seven stitches. The story ends with Jason in the hospital, reflecting on the events of the book.

Reflection has its importance in clinical practice; we always seek to be successful and that can be achieved by learning every day of our life through experiences we encounter. In that way we can reconsider and rethink our previous knowledge and add new learning to our knowledge base so as to inform our practice. Learning new skills does not stop upon qualifying; this should become second nature to thinking professionals as they continue their professional development throughout their careers (Jasper, 2006). According to Rolfe et al. (2001), reflection does not merely add to our knowledge, it also challenges the concepts and theories by which we try to make sense of that knowledge. Acquiring knowledge through reflection is modern way of learning from practice that can be traced back at least to the 1930s and the work of John Dewey, an American philosopher and educator who was the instigator of what might be called ''discovery learning'' or learning from experience. He claimed that we learn by doing and that appreciating what results from what we do leads to a process of developing knowledge, the nature and importance of which then we must seek to interpret (Rolfe et al., 2001).
Nicola Chiaramonte stated in her review of Albert Camus’ literary works that he was born during the time of turmoil at the beginning of the First World War, then came the Depression and Hitler and finally the Second World War. “The world in which he grew up was a strugPatrick Moser in his criticism about Albert Camus explains, in part, the title of The Stranger. “If we are able to refuse the misleading aid of religion or of existential philosophies, we then possess certain basic, obvious facts: the world is chaos, a ‘divine equivalence born of anarchy’; tomorrow does not exist, since we all die. ‘In a universe suddenly deprived of light and illusions, man feels himself a stranger. This exile is irrevocable, since he has no memories of a lost homeland and no hope of a promised land’” (Moser).
This process is aimed at ensuring the project being pursued has a potential of delivering by adhering to the allocated time, sticking to the budget and very important, meeting customers specifications (Mott McDonald, 2002). It involves assessing the projects at critical stages (also referred to as gates) in its lifecycle and thus assuring it can advance to the next stage successfully. This function is performed by an independent experienced team, after which they assure the Senior Responsible Owners that the project can progress successfully (National Academies US & National Research US, 2004). There are six critical stages (gateways) in the lifecycle of a project that the independent gateway review team will evaluate and thus provide th...
What is critical thinking? What comes to mind when you think of it and try to break down what it is? Critical thinking is best described by The critical thinking community as aka (cct) “Critical thinking is that mode of thinking — about any subject, content, or problem — in which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully analyzing, assessing, and reconstructing it. Critical thinking is self-directed, self-disciplined, self-monitored, and self-corrective thinking.” Critical thinking can be defined as three important elements. These elements are reasoning, questioning, and clarity with out these elements mastered one cannot become a fluid critical thinker
As the projects become more and more complex and huge in the number of activities, it becomes more difficult for the project manager to keep track of all the activities. Critical Path comes in very handy at these times, since project manager can focus on the critical activities and the rest would be more or less be taken care of.
The resources that can affect the project schedule we look at Meredith and Mantel (2012) description of resources. “The fixed resources might include labor-hours of various types of special professional or technical services, machine-hours of various types of machinery or instrumentation, hours of computing time, specialized locations, and similar scarce resources needed for accomplishing project tasks” (p. 387). All of the resources can cause delays in the schedule, however a few of the examples sound very familiar. Machine hours can always cause problems, in most cases the machine that is needed is also a machine used in the day-to-day schedule. Working out the schedule of the machine with the functional group can cause delays. The hours of
A crucible, as defined by Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, is a severe test. In his play, The Crucible, Arthur Miller conveys the message of McCarthyism by writing an allegory to the Puritan times and the Salem witch trials. However, there are many more hidden messages that Miller weaves in to the plotlines of the play. These messages surface as themes that illuminate the purpose of the author, which was to show flaws in Society and McCarthyism. Throughout the play, some of the major themes that are in the play are that theocracy makes the whole of society worse, that people try to save their reputation by committing act of crime and sinning, and that mass-hysteria causes people to stop listening to the voices of reason.

“An Army leader is any one who by virtue of assumed role or assigned responsibility inspires and influences peoples to accomplish organizational goals. She or He motivates people both inside and outside the chain of command to pursue actions, focus thinking, and shape decisions for the greater good of the organization.1” But for him to do that effectively and efficiently , he has to be prepared, shaped and refined. There are few institutions to prepare such leaders and CGSC is one of those institutions which are mandated, organized and equipped to prepare such leaders. In implementing its mandate, CGSC has programmed ILE common core C 100 to provide foundations for effective leadership development. The lessons covered in this block of instructions are important pillars of leadership development and impact on officers differently depending on the fields/specialties and the level of positions held. This paper therefore attempts to discuss the relevance of critical thinking and problem solving, group decision making, overcoming biases, planning and order production lessons on my future assignment as a logistics staff officer.
