Cherry is a very different soc because she loves watching sunsets just like Ponyboy. Throughout the story, Cherry’s simple life had been through many turns. She became friends with some greasers, her boyfriend, Bob gets killed by Johnny, she became a spy for the greasers, and her greaser friend, Johnny had died. She’d been so through so much, but she treats greasers and socs equally because she sees no difference in them.
After 4 months of the rumble happening. Everything in Cherry’s life started changing. School was horror. Cheerleading was her only passion and she did it with so much love. Now, she even lost the post of being a cheerleader due to everything that was happening. Everyone called her a “greaser” even though she wasn’t one and gave her dirty

You are a traitor to your own kind.” Maria said. Cherry’s ears went red and she was staring at her flip-flops. That’s when she realised that her friend, Marcia, didn’t even like her anymore. She silently walked away without speaking another word. She kept wondering who had spread the word. Than one of Bob’s friend, starts walking towards her. “Hey Traitor! How’s life? Hard to live easy to die.” he laughed. “Just shut your trap and get outta my face already.” Cherry pushed him. He smiled, “Ever wondered who had spread the word?” Cherry was very curious but she didn’t want to know because she was afraid it would be someone like Marcia. “No!” she shouted. “Then I don’t need to tell you who it is” he whispered and started walking away. Cherry grabbed his arm, “Who is it?” He smiled cruelly and whispered, “Someone in front of you.” For a second she was puzzled then she realised it was Bob’s friend who told everyone that she was a spy. Cherry wanted to know how he knew but she thought that would bring more trouble. It was lunch break but Cherry decided to leave home because she couldn’t bear no more. While she was walking home, every
Cherry Valance is a red-headed Soc, who feels out of place among peers but hides it to fit in. She does not enjoy the parties and other joys other most Socs like. Cherry’s boyfriend, Bob, picks her up while he’s drunk and she has to go with him, mainly to avoid him and his Soc friends from fighting the greasers, even though she hates being around when Bob’s drunk. Soon after, Bob is killed by Johnny and she is heartbroken, and she tells Pony that Bob was a great person when he was not drunk. Cherry is faced with the fact that Bob was a cruel person to the greasers, and Johnny acted in self-defense, though still cannot face Johnny. Cherry decides the best way to support the greasers and aid them is to spy on the Socs then give the greasers information. Many greasers believe her and her fellow Socs have no issues whatsoever, and Cherry explains that while they have different problems, all people have stress and strenuous situations. She shows Ponyboy that greasers and Socs are not as different as he originally pictures. Cherry also accepts people for who they are and can see that everyone can be reputable at times, even Bob, who was always heartless when dealing with greasers. She thinks she is the only Soc with her peaceful mindset until she meets another Soc similar to her named Randy. Randy Adderson is a Soc who struggles with believing
Zero awoke to find himself standing, it was not something he was familiar with and he searched his memory for any recollection of it happening before. Quickly he discovered that large parts of his memory were missing, gone were the seemingly endless data bases of information. Quickly he sent out feelers trying for a connection of some sort but he drew a blank. It seemed that where ever he was now, had limited connection capacity. Instead he used his visual feed to survey his surrounding, it appeared he was in some kind of desert of discarded parts.
“I don’t know, I’m not sure how this works either.” Her reply did not satisfy him, but he couldn’t think of how to go about telling a ghost (if that’s what she is) that they are
Miranda's house seemed to be the best option, as it was located in close proximity to the school and was a familiar meeting place for the girls. Seconds after, Miranda's face split into a sinister grin, similar to a cat's satisfying smile after it had just caught mouse. She began to talk quickly of a new path she had been wanting to walk on, mumbling of how it was right behind her house and would get them home in half the time it took to walk the "old way". Jenny narrowed her eyes, she was smart and didn't think this sounded like a good idea. Barbara agreed with Jenny, repeating her opinions. Miranda was offended, her friends had always agreed with her on everything, they would never dare to sway from her opinions. Miranda was blind with rage, she began to scream at her friends, getting into their faces, shouting loud lies. Jenny and Barbara retaliated quickly, yelling right back at Miranda. After what felt like hours, but was really only 5 minutes, Miranda had had enough, and ran away from her

The Creature That Opened My Eyes Sympathy, anger, hate, and empathy, these are just a few of the emotions that came over me while getting to know and trying to understand the creature created by victor frankenstein in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. For the first time I became completely enthralled in a novel and learned to appreciate literature not only for the great stories they tell but also for the affect it could have on someones life as cliché as that might sound, if that weren’t enough it also gave me a greater appreciation and understanding of the idiom “never judge a book by its cover.” As a pimply faced, insecure, loner, and at most times self absorbed sophomore in high school I was never one to put anytime or focus when it came time
She had come over to Heather and said, “Why were you ever my friend? Why did you talk bad about me? Was it just so that you could make the team? I hate you and I never want to see you
Cherry struggles with fitting in, so does most Socs. They have to keep their high social status, even if what they do is wrong. When she is talking to Pony she tells him that she just talks about stuff to her “friends” just to be saying stuff. Ponyboy and Cherry have a lot in common but she would never acknowledge him at school because other Socs would see. Like most socs, they have a thing for the “bad boys” and she is afraid she will fall in love with a soc, Dally.
I didn’t know what happened, but worse, I didn’t know what was happening. The sounds of footsteps neared my body, but I was too hurt to react.
Miller lets go of my hand, she storms over to where Breanna and he gang are seated, I hear yelling, and see some pushing and shoving, but finally Miller is walking back over to me, fuming. She says nothing about it all day, won’t tell me anything that was said, I’m mad at her for not telling me, but Grateful that she’s doing her best to protect me from all of this. I sit down at lunch, and am halfway through eating, alone, i have no idea where Miller is, when I hear over the loudspeaker, “Zoey Foster, please come to Miss Honey’s office immediately, thank you.” I walk into Miss Honey’s office, the first face I see, is Miller’s, and the first thing she says is, “don’t be mad, Mil”. Miss Honey offers me a seat next to Miller, and explains that Miller told her Everything.
During lunch, Heather decides to tell Melinda that they can't be friends anymore. Heather says,”We were never really, really friends, were we?’...’You are the most depressed person I’ve ever met, and excuse me for saying this, but you are no fun to be around’...’Look, you can’t eat lunch with me anymore.” After a long time of trying to fit into her new school, Heather finally finds a group, the Martha’s, that is pretty popular and accepts her. They tell Heather that in order for her to join she must tell Melissa that she can't be friends with her anymore. Heather begins finding out about Melinda's reputation and history as the book goes on and decides to abandon the only friend she had so that she could be able to incorporate herself into a more socially accepted group. Heather obeys them and betrays the first person that ever accepted her in her new school, Melinda, just so that she could be popular. Melinda believed that Heather was her friend because they hung out a couple of times and they were always together during school. Heather is not a good friend because instead of helping Melinda deal with her problem, she betrays her and joins a different group of
She gasped, calling out for her friends, but they did not respond. With another wave of his hand, the boy made their bodies disappear. This could not be happening. “But… why? You realize that you’ll never get away with this when they find me.”
“Hmm . . . Of course. Yes, very good, very good indeed. That is precisely what I was thinking. There’s only one problem,” he hissed with such ferocity that some of those around the table sat back, afraid they would become the focus of his fury. “Who?”
She smiled to herself and said to herself, “You all don’t know that a hell lot went down today.”
"I'll get it!" shouted Amanda, Robert's youngest sister. "NO YOU WILL NOT!" snapped Robert's mum. While, for the first time ever, Robert's mum and Amanda were arguing, Robert answered the door, and no one was there. It was probably Danny, he was always playing tricks on Robert, so Robert closed the door and
