There it was her grave.. He couldn’t believe his eyes. The with the wind blowing gently in his thick hair. He stood there and dropped a rose into the hole as the rose fell he felt his heart drop. His heart dropped like a rock in the a pond. The pain he felt was like no other even her parents didn’t feel as devastated as he did. He took off this ring that he had worn every day and dropped it into the hole where her casket laid. The ring had made a sound on the casket and it had chipped the wood on the casket and it laid there. He stood there silently. A tear had formed in his eye, it fell, he didn’t think she was gone. Kay always was amazed by his eyes he never knew why. It was impossible he said She can’t be dead. His mom asked “ Chris.. …show more content…
Then he went to sleep. The next day at school he felt alone. He felt alone because she was the only person that he really got along with. He was walking down the hallway and thought he had seen her but when he took a second glance she was gone. It made him upset. So, he continued to class. While he was in class he thought he had seen her walking down the hall. He was excited with tears in his eyes and opened the door. Nobody was in the hallway except the janitor sweeping down the hallway. He had thought again about what Madame Lola said. He was worried and wondered if she was actually there so he sprinted to the office. He walked up to the desk with tears in his eyes and asked with fear if she went to school still. The Lady said “Honey, I know you miss her but she’s gone, I’m sorry but you need to let go.” He went back to class with tears running down his face but he walked as if he was dead inside as he felt. He walked in as the bell rang and everyone stormed out of the class and he grabbed his stuff and walked out slowly and silently. He started heading towards his geometry class but he turned and went and sat against her locker. He sat there crying and whispering “Why her”. He still wouldn’t let go he opened her locker. He had remembered her combination because he begged her to tell him it. He used to leave little gifts in her locker to make her day better; most of the time he left flowers or candy in her locker. Maybe her parents found her body thats probably how she died. He closed her locker, walked away and headed to class. In geometry the teacher was drawing shapes and he looked up and seen it the necklace it was four hearts like a flower and had garnet in the center. He looked into his binder and it was still there untouched but he still had the constant fear that someone was going to try and stop him from finding her. After school he started to walk home. He decided to walk into the cemetery, as usual but today something was different. Just the feeling of the area was different for him he went to her grave. Something felt different still; he went home after seeing her grave. He did his homework not thinking about her and sat in his room at his desk while listening to music. Sadly every song he listened to reminded him of her. He finished his homework, didn’t eat dinner and went to bed. He woke up in the middle of the night; he was scared, breathing heavily. Tears filled his eyes but he didn’t let them go. He had a horrible dream about her. That she was there with him and someone took her and buried her alive he was afraid. He had to go, he went to the cemetery. He only took a red rose and a letter
She ignored all the deep breaths she was neglecting herself of and continued the story, which I thought would never end. “Of course the poor man handed the letter to me faster than a bullet. The envelope was spruced up with blue ink specked with ‘I’s’ dotted with hearts. And on the corner was a tiny lipstick stain that she kissed with the small lips of her. The servant hid it with his thumb, it made me furious. I practically ripped the envelope in half for what I can remember. My anger and pettiness got the hold of me- I read the first line- ‘Dear Tom, you ought to come visit me soon, I’ve been rather lonely in the last few weeks.’- I was absolutely furious. I threw the letter through the window, and off the balcony. I hoped it had floated on the bay and sunk deep down and dissolved like it was written on toilet
The funeral was supposed to be a family affair. She had not wanted to invite so many people, most of them strangers to her, to be there at the moment she said goodbye. Yet, she was not the only person who had a right to his last moments above the earth, it seemed. Everyone, from the family who knew nothing of the anguish he had suffered in his last years, to the colleagues who saw him every day but hadn’t actually seen him, to the long-lost friends and passing acquaintances who were surprised to find that he was married, let alone dead, wanted to have a last chance to gaze upon him in his open coffin and say goodbye.
He can hear her steps down the stair to the cellar. He almost burst into tears. Patrick knows that he can’t give up now, not after he have broken her heart and made up everything so she can leave him. There was no Rebecca, he had no son, his parents didn’t force him into this marriage he was the one who made things look like that both their parents wanted them to get married. Patrick was afraid that she wouldn’t agree to this marriage. I can’t stop now, Patrick thought to himself it’s working she’s believing it; he told himself to hold back the tears but one still slip down his cheek.
“I still recall… going into the large, darkened parlor to see my brother and finding the casket, mirrors and pictures all draped in white, and my father seated by his side, pale and immovable. As he took no notice of me, after standing a long while, I climbed upon his knee, when he mechanically put his arm about me and with my head resting against his beating heart we both sat in silence, he thinking of the wreck of all his hopes in the loss of a dear son, and I wondered what could be said or done to fill the void in his breast. At length, he heaved a deep sign and said: “Oh, my daughter, I wish you were a

He loved her so much in life, and never loses his love for her in death. She was his only soul mate, and he spends the next four years of his life grieving her death. She loved him for his writing skills and because of that every time he tries to write a new book he gets physically ill. Then, nightmares start flooding his broken mind. He dreams of their vacation house on the lake, named Sara Laughs, where after every book they would share a glass of champagne
I looked up at Gabriel from the grass. I never actually got to inspect the full extent of his features. His dark brown hair was tussled and looked as if he had been running his fingers through it from stress. His green eyes resembled emeralds. He had a bit of muscle on him, but he wasn’t too broad shouldered. You could see a small rose tattoo on his upper bicep. He wore a dark green t-shirt and jeans. He was definitely handsome, and all his features complimented each other.
Although death seems to be a theme for many literary poems, it also appears to be the most difficult to express clearly. Webster’s Dictionary defines the word “death” as, “A permanent cessation of all vital function: end of life.” While this definition sounds simple enough, a writer’s definition goes way beyond the literal meaning. Edwin Arlington Robinson and Robert Frost are just two examples of poetic writers who have used death successfully as the main theme of their works. Robinson, in the poem “Richard Cory,” and Frost in his poem, “Home Burial,” present death in different ways in order to invoke different feelings and emotions from their readers.
When Death stops for the speaker, he reins a horse-drawn carriage as they ride to her grave. This carriage symbolizes a hearse of which carries her coffin to her grave a day or two after her death. As they ride, they pass, “the School… / the Fields of Gazing Grain— / [and] the Setting Sun—” (lines 9-12). These three symbolize the speakers life, from childhood in the playgrounds, to labor in the fields, and finally to the setting sun of her life. When the speaker and Death arrive at the house, it is night.
In a whisper... He filled the words with all his love and care and worry for Lena and launched them out to her, and like homing pigeons, he trusted them to find her.” Never stop thinking about his assistant, Lena. Begging his mom to tell him the reason of Lena
There once was a man named Franswah, and he had a wife named Keisha. They both lived in Keithville, Atlanta. They had a little girl named Jasmine, she was twelve years of age and she attended Ghettoville Jr. High School in the seventh grade. Keisha never did like doing anything, so her husband Franswah decided to go out and have an affair with a lady named Shay. Franswah and Shay worked at a law firm together. Shay was his assistant, she always helped him with things and they always went to lunch together. So some nights he never came home or either he came in late. Keisha was never the type of person to just argue, she mainly just questioned him to see what the response would be and she left it alone until the next morning. So one night when he came in he had a funny odor and Keisha asked him what was up with the smell, he told her that he had been working out and got sweaty. Their daughter Jasmine had very high blood pressure, so most of the time she didn’t go to school because of her condition and she stayed ill. Keisha had a younger sister named Ashley, she is the rowdy type that doesn’t care and will tell anybody anything. Keisha was telling her sister about Franswah coming in late, having a odor on him and don’t want to be questioned. So one day when Ashley was over there and he walked in she confronted him and told him if she find out that’s its that he’s cheating on her she was gone handle it. So he got mad and started hollering at Keisha for telling her sister about what was going on in their relationship. Then that’s when Ashley came back and told him that she can tell her anything she want to tell her because that’s her sister. So few minutes later the phone rings and its was Shay. Keisha answers the phone and it was another lady’s voice, and she asked to speak to Franswah. So she asked her who is calling and she told her that it was Franswah’s baby mother. Everyone is in shock, so Ashley gets on the phone and started getting rowdy. Ashley was asking her different questions like how old is the baby, where she live, and where did Franswah and her meet.
He instantly thought the teacher was homosexual and ran out of the house in a hurry. After thinking about he thought that maybe he was just thinking to much. “...I wondered if just maybe I was wrong about thinking he was making a flitty pass at me. I wondered if maybe he just liked to pat guys on the head when they're asleep.... I mean I started thinking that even if he was a flit, he certainly been very nice to me.”
Like so many innocent, selfless girls, untouched by the world, I forgave him. The pain dispersing through my body reminded me that I was strong and all I needed to do was heal. I would cry without tears at first, the sadness inside me so intense, that the hollowness in my heart would weigh me down. My heart’s deep hollowness was so immense, that the loudest shrie...
I only knew him for a couple of minutes yet he was the most incredible man I have ever met in my entire life, she ended. As she tucked her children in they said goodnight to her, she switched off their light and everything went pitch black. She stood outside her children’s door and in line with her vision hung a battered, old guitar. Throughout all these years she had kept it with her, because she knew that never letting go of that guitar meant never letting go of that amazing memory. She just stood there gazing at it, virtually paralyzed, while a single drop of tear, from her brown-chestnut eyes, slowly made its way down her cheek then fell silently on the floor.
My heart was simply ripped apart. I could not believe it at first, but I knew I had to. After all these wonderful years and enthralling moments, I finally have to face God's greatest challenge. My mind wasn't as messy as before anymore and I couldn't even think of what to think. It seemed as if I had nothing to worry about, nothing to do, nothing to say. I was trapped inside this room waiting for the Grim Reaper to reap my innocent soul.
