To tell you anything about this game, we must start from the beginning. It all started with a war. It was a war between humans and monsters. The humans wanted the monster’s land so they could expand and own everywhere. It is never told where this story takes place, but I have been told to assume it is in the Rockies. The monsters lost the war and were forced back into a mountain, where they were sealed away forever. Anyone could get in, but no one could get out. It was told there was a need for seven human souls in order to break the spell, and all the souls of the monsters in the underground and ruins would only equal to one soul. The humans had something the monsters didn’t, a thing called, “Determination”. Years passed and the underground evolved, making an entire world beneath the earth. Now, we switch our outlook onto a runaway child, called Chara. It is never told she is really a run away but it is told later on that she hates everyone, both humans, and monster. I will be going over the Genocide route first. The storyline is the same, until you get to a fight. The options in a fight are, “Fight”, “Act”, “Item”, and “Mercy”. In the Pacifist Route you use the last three and do not touch fight until the last two battles, were you must fight. While in Genocide route you use “Fight” the most and do not use “Mercy” which contains “Spare” and “Run”. There are different weapons and armors you find on your journey that always get better. You must Fight and Kill a number of monsters in the ruins until you go to Toriel’s house. The easiest way to know this is when you go into a fight and it says, “But no one came”.
