The creation of the Universe and Ife is about a god name Obatala and how he created the land and human. He came down from the sky, created an actual world with plants, animals, homes and human. After getting drunk he made some humans deformed. He promised to take extra care of them. The human race was almost extinct because of the goddess of the sea.
In my opinion the Supreme Being in the creation myth entitled in the story The Creation of the Universe and Life is this god who goes by the name Olorun. The reason why I would say that is because Olorun was the most powerful of the gods and he was also held the most knowledge.

However, there came a point when dry land needed to be created. This was achieved when Obatala (the youngest god) wanted to create life. Instead of diving down underneath the water to bring dry land to the top Obatala used a sand-filled snail to pour the sand on top of the water and used the hen he had brought down the chain with him to spread the sand making dry land.
There was no destroying of the world and recreating it in this creation myth. However, there is a point in this story when the goddes of the sea, god Olokun, got upset with Obatala because he did not consult with her prior to creating dry land. However, this infuriated the Olokun and she caused a great flood that almost wiped out the entire human race.
