1000 Years a Craker Today we commemorate 1000 years since we have left the land of Paradice. We were led by our most gracious leader, Snowman. Our people were going into the unknown, and they were rightly afraid. However, our Creator, the great Crake blessed us with the things we needed to survive and communicated messages to us through Snowman. Our teacher, Oryx, also sent messages to us that allowed us to learn what we needed to survive and thrive creating the amazing society that we live in today. Our kind started from a small village that was safe and happy. Their lives fell under the dangerous situation of the fierce beasts. Our ancestors pleaded with Snowman to teach us about our history. He waited and waited until Crake gave him the correct message to share with our people. Snowman exposed the truth to us. Snowman told us about the dark times. The world was a dangerous place. The humans hearts had become hardened and people sought only to fulfill their own selfish needs. Crake knew that those people must perish. They were destroying the beautiful earth that was giving to us. Snowman was a good man though. He was the only one! Crake created our people who would be much better than the humans who destroyed the earth. Oryx came to us to teach us how to live and how to survive. She could not stay with us forever though. After she left, we had Snowman to look to only. If it were not for Snowman, surely our ancestors would have ceased to exist. Snowman saved us under the direction of our Creator, …show more content…

They sang and danced. They even created a statue of our Snowman. Snowman once thought that we would never be capable of these things, but we are. We have a rich history of art. Our people have created images of our ancestors. We have literature and fiction. Many of our people are skilled in poetry and song-writing. We are very proud of this history. Snowman taught us of the things that were right and wrong. We do not practice all of the things of the bad world. We have to know which things were bad and leave them there.
