Disney was first formed in 1923 when founders Walt Disney and his brother, Roy, created an animated short called Alice Comedies (“The Walt Disney Studios – History, n.d.). Years later in 1937, Disney established a large following from the production of their first ever full-length animated movie, Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (“The Walt Disney Studios – History, n.d.). The large revenues that flowed in from this production allowed Walt Disney to grow his business into the multimillion-dollar company that it is today.

Philippians 2 gives us guidance on how to imitate Christs love through, humility, stewardship and giving. The verse states;
“3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness” (Phil 2:3-7) Disney’s social awareness has not disappointed when relating to this passage. What they have done and what they are planning to do in the future, is right on track with what can be seen in scripture. Presently, Disney known for its mass media entertainment and amusement parks technically bring warm feelings to many children and some adults. Personally, Disney elicits magical fantasies that children enjoy and further encourages imagination and creativity. For decades Disney has exist as an unavoidable entity with its famous global sensation and reach. Furthermore, Disney is a multibillion dollar empire with an unlimited grasp on individuals and territories. An empire per se, since they own many media outlets, markets, shops, etc., you name it they got it. However, the film Mickey Mouse Monopoly presents an entirely new perspective on the presumed innocence projected in Disney films. This film exposes certain traits Disney employs and exclusively portrays through its media productions, specifically cartoons for directing and nurturing influence beginning with children. Mickey Mouse Monopoly points out camouflaged messages of class, race, and gender issues in Disney films that occur behind the scenes intended to sway viewers towards adopting Disney values.
The impact of Disney on our society is based on providing this fantasy world to children. There is no other company on the globe that can do so with such success. It is a niche that children gravitate to. Yes, it makes a tremendous amount of money for the company, but there is no harm in providing products and services that children want. While Disney is ever present throughout our society, the impact on the culture is positive.

In order to comprehend and gleam the theological insights of Philemon, or any Biblical scripture, it is imperative that, at least, a basic understanding of the historical and cultural principles be present in the mind of the reader. Without a comprehension of these truths, a false understanding or misrepresentation of the text may occur. This is not to say that nothing can be obtained from the scripture in and of itself. However, many deeper details may remain hidden without further exploration. As is stated in 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Walt Disney and Roy Disney started the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio in 1923, the name of the company evolved over time and is currently referred to as the Walt Disney Company. The company diversified its portfolio from family entertainment to media genres such as radio, music, theatre and online content. Disney prides itself as being the second largest media empire after Comcast, this is based on revenue analysis. It has evolved over the years to diversify into more mature content as compared to its initial focus on family based entertainment such as Mickey Mouse, Donald duck among others. The company’s headquarters are at Burbank, California.
The Disney corporation is easily the greatest empire of entertainment in the world thanks to the creator Walt Disney and his brother. Disney’s influence has been great within culture and society and I learned how much of an influence Disney has had through our course this semester. In reviewing the vast corporation of the Walt Disney Company and all that it has to offer, one profound statement made by Walt Disney himself comes to the forefront, “I only hope that we don’t lose sight of one thing – that it was all started by a mouse” (Walt, n.d.). This statement suggests that the company has a strong focus to continually guide them in the way of the original idea of the company. Even as it watches the changes taking place in society and adapts to the new technologies and innovations, the Walt Disney Company has been able to implement diverse strategies for its growth and prosperity.
In conclusion, Disney appears to be a very strong company financially. They do not have any major red flags. Their liquidity ratios and other information does not seem to be alarming in any way. They have been around for many years and are extremely successful, so any obstacle in their way will not be an issue. They will be able to work through it and bounce back from it without a problem.

Through the ratio analysis, we can conclude that Disney is a stable company, keeping up with industry trends and up to par with industry averages. Although at times it can seem that Disney is a risky and unstable company, those conclusions are false since the unstableness has come through decisions which will better establish Disney’s position on the market. Although Disney’s competition, namely CBS, is on a similar standing as Disney when comparing ratios, Disney will manage to remain the largest media conglomerate in the USA and one of the best corporations in the world.
