We say or sing at least twelve psalms. The 84th psalm is always sung. Inspiring books from the Old and New Testaments are said at this nightly mass. After the night office, from Easter till a certain time, a small amount of time is allowed to use the facilities, but the Laud is read shortly after. From November to Easter, the morning office is held a few hours after midnight so we have time to rest. Our routine on Sundays are a little different. Since we are to honor the Sabbath day, we are exempt from all work. The day is filled with prayer. On Sundays, excluding the Sunday's in Lent, songs like Lauds, Prime, Tierce, Sext, and None are spoken. Vespers are sung. We wake up earlier for the night office. We also sing different psalms. The Abbess selects canticles from the Prophets that we sing. We also hear four stories from the New Testament instead of three. Every Sunday is celebrated the same no matter the weather. As aforementioned, we do not work, unless it is our time to serve each other
